PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Jaycees, Time has flown, and we are in the 3rd quarter of the year 2022. Once again, I want to thank the JCI Kota Kinabalu for allowing me to serve as President and to be a part of this chapter that not only gives knowledge back but allows friendships to be created within the Jaycee. Throughout these few months, I realized that in the world of complex challenges and complicated solutions, all the Jaycees must stand and work together. It is hard to think of things we can accomplish on our own. We want to keep things neat and tidy, harmonious, and efficient and that’s what we all work together to ensure all the assigned task works completed effectively.

Each year, our members have a lot of opportunities to explore, shape and grow their skills by volunteering themselves in various kind of project. I am proud of my JCIKK Board of Director and members for being such a good example as an active citizen within the community. As we all have limit of time to accomplish our daily work, but members are always ‘ready to action’ and accept all the challenges given to them. I have always been impressed with the quality and activeness of our active members.

To all JCIKK members and Jaycees, I am honoured to be a part of such an esteemed group, and I thank you all for all your efforts to this point. let’s work together to continue inspire others within the community. I’m so excited to have you along for the ride throughout our 60th anniversary, and I hope you’ll be able to join us as we celebrate later in the year, knowing the best is yet to come!

First, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the team for being cooperative and work together to create this issue and released it successfully. Refer to the quote stated, without the helps and efforts contributed from the members, I wouldn’t be able to launch the 3rd quarter issues on time.

As the editors for this issue, I am looking forward that with providing the content our readers have always loved, our readers will be enjoying our publication. As a JCI Kota Kinabalu members, we’ll always continue to inspire the community with all our well-organized and designed workshops, projects, and programs. Thus, this issue is full of stories showcasing how Jaycees work together effectively, to create a positive change to the world.

Special thanks to Trainer Hui Kong Wai for conducting this Presentation Slide Workshop. The session was fruitful and interactive, using both theory and practicality to help participants to prepare well for presentation with proper outline and structure.

Participants learned in this workshop that storytelling and slides play equal roles in a presentation. After attending this workshop, we believe that participants are more capable of creating effective and impactful presentations that engage audiences

Hello Jaycees, I am Benjamin Choi,

Time is flying by and we have reached the end of the 3rd quarter of the year 2022. It is my pleasure to participate in the 2022 e newsletter. I would like to thank you for the opportunity to write this message. First of all, it is great to be part of the 2022 Board of Directors team. It is my pleasure to work under the leadership of the President of 2022 JCI Kota Kinabalu, Alan Moo.

I have been on the board for 3 years and I am always happy to be part of the TEAM under 2020 President Regina Ngu and shine throughout the year by winning Mandaring & Malay Virtual Public Speaking Champion. In 2021, the pupa has turned into a butterfly bringing BUTTERFLY EFFECT closer to the team and the society under the lead of 2021 President Chian Mei Hsing. And finally, in 2022, it is time to be inspired and INSPIRE others. It is now time for me to take the initiative and stand out for the coming year.

I'm here to motivate all of the KK Jaycees to become involved in more activities and be active. You can gain inspiration, friends, and a network through the activities as you move down the road. I'm confident you'll have fun in JCI KOTA KINABALU.
