This year has been a year like no other to say the very least. We had a volcano eruption, several typhoons and of course - the Covid-19 pandemic. But despite all the challenges we faced, JCI Manila continued to strive hard and tried to reach our goals for the year.

We felt that now more than ever, JCI Manila needed to be there for our country and the communities we serve. But we understood we could not do this alone and that we needed to stand by our battle cry: Rise Together.

Rise in membership participation - Not everyone could go out of their homes without fearing of the virus, so we needed every member we could get. Fortunately, we were able to activate 90% of our members and induct 110 new members for the year.

Rise in Partnerships. We Partnered with different government agencies like the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines, the City of Manila, the City of Pasig, and different National Departments like the Department of Health, the Department of Education, and many more to create more sustainable solutions throughout this pandemic. Rise in JCI Collaborations - Reaching out to more chapters because now more than ever we need each other, to love for one another, to rebuild those bonds that we have for each other, trust each other because trust shows that we believe in the good in each other and if we want to get out of this pandemic unscathed, we need to be there for each other.

That’s what we did and we were able to do great things together. So, on behalf of JCI Manila, thank you for the partnership but more importantly thank you for the friendship. Indeed, this year was difficult but I am so proud that we were all able to Rise Together.
