SIKAT KA V: AREA 5 CONFERENCE

The Sikat Ka V, 40th Mindanao Area Conference was held last November 20 - 22 and 28, 2020 and was hosted by the Junior Chamber International Tacurong Kampilan. This annual gathering of JCI leaders and stakeholders was conducted to celebrate the success of JCI in nurturing and fostering its activities and lifechanging advocacies. This gathering is the culmination of JCI’s initiatives to empower society and communities. This event was also hosted to bring together the leaders, pillars and stakeholders who selflessly devoted their efforts, time, and resources to uphold the goals and objectives of the organization. Several activities and programs were done to commemorate the 4-day event. The schedule of activities included: the Area Conference Opening Program on November 20, the Opening Plenary and Business Seminar on November 21, and the JCI Admin and PEP Rally on November 22.

The events served as highlights during the Area V Public Speaking and Agung Awards on November 28. During the opening program, the leaders expressed their sincerest ideas on how JCI had changed their lives through helping the communities.

It was highlighted that JCI is an organization which tries to uplift the morale and spirit of people through programs and support. The recognition for being a part of JCI is worth remembering as it offers inner happiness through helping the lives of people. During the plenary and business seminar, the best minds talked about the continuing legacy of excellence in community service.

“JCI IS AN ORGANIZATION WHICH TRIES TO UPLIFT THE MORALE AND SPIRIT OF PEOPLE THROUGH PROGRAMS AND SUPPORT”

Several topics were discussed on how to strengthen the activities of the organization and to reach out to larger societies. More deliberative talks were done as a way to gather and generate ideas to improve the initiatives implemented under the targets of JCI. The PEP Rally was one of the highlights in together raising the voices as partners in making changes in the society. More than just changes, the goal is to create lasting and continual impacts to communities who need help and assistance. Similarly, it was also an avenue to let the world know that JCI is not only about prestige and recognition, but rather service and honor to the fellowmen of the country.

Further, the organization bespeaks its desires to make struggling communities become resilient ones. During this time of global pandemic, JCI is even challenged to make lasting contributions in touching the lives of the people with love and hope. In the conquest of quality and outstanding mission, JCI awarded the exemplary leaders who exceled in their own fields as they support JCI in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of its programs.

They are the modern-day heroes who contributed their resources to make the events of JCI possible and with resounding success. Those who lead to serve were given honor and recognition for their invaluable contribution to the organization. The JCI programs were successful in general.The registration fee was three thousand pesos (Php 3,000) per chapter.
