MAKING WAVES OF POSITIVE IMPACT

Agreat adventure is out in the open seas, it is never in the safe harbor. JCI Regatta sailed through in one of its exciting and memorable chapters as an organization in 2020. I had the pleasure to serve as its Captain as we drift away and sail into new beginnings.
JCI Regatta chartered its course based on the action plan of “MaKING waves of POSITIVE IMPACT”. The first objective is “making KINGs” which reinforces the MOLD and MOTIVATE theme of JCI Philippines. Essential to a successful voyage is to scout, train and hone JCI Regatta sailors. Our chapter grew to 35 members with 10 newly inducted members. Our growth and development program, the SHARE IT series, discovered, trained and showcased the skills of our Regatta members. We conducted or participated in at least 25 training sessions with 15 activated trainers. To inspire the newer members, we honored 4 exemplary members with JCI Senatorships.
The second objective is to make waves of positive impact which calls for progressive improvement in one’s self, the community and organization. We faced adversity in the times of pandemic but we adjusted our sails to make small or big contributions to our community. It was an opportunity for us to be of service in whatever capacity. We completed 29 projects and we navigated our way to achieve 100% efficiency in the JCIPEA and were awarded the Platinum Seal of Efficiency with 2 Impact Stars.
A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor. The year 2020 tested our organization as we faced one of the roughest storms. It was clearly not a smooth sail riding through the waves of the pandemic. What helped us make it through is our faith in each one’s capacity and being an anchor of strength for each other. We leaned on and learned from each other. The captain is only as good as its crew. We could have not reached our destination without all your support, JCI Regatta family. My immense gratitude and thanks to each and every one of you.
It’s now time to take a new voyage and adventure. Sail on my JCI Regatta... and continue maKING waves of POSITIVE IMPACT!
