What have Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, Kofi Annan, John F Kennedy, and half of the Japanese parliament got in common? They were all members of JCI – the Junior Chamber International.

JCI is a not-for-profit organisation providing development opportunities that empower young people (aged 18-40) years old to create positive change.

Helen Green, JCI Sheffield member Our programme of business events helps you develop your career and pick up skills from leading experts. We hold several business tours throughout the year, which are a great opportunity to explore local success stories and pick up tips!

We also invite leading business figures to deliver talks and share with us their tips for entrepreneurs and professionals. Recent visits include Sheffield Forgemasters, Gripple and Loadhog.

“This was my second year doing the Big Sleepout... I do not think it is right for children to have to sleep on the streets of our city. As JCI members we want to create positive change in the world. We believe that by taking responsibility for our communities, we can create sustainable solutions to the problems we see around us. JCI UK was recognised with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Volunteering Award in 2012, for doing just that!
