We are focused on one thing, and one thing only: STUDENT

SUCCESS. If it

doesn’t have to do with student success, we don’t do it. Period. This is a studentcentered, success-focused education that will equip you with the knowledge and skills you’ll need to thrive in your career and in every aspect of your life.

A 4-YEAR PREPARATION Coastal Georgia offers four-year bachelor’s programs across more than 20 majors – from American Studies, Biological Sciences, and Business Administration to Education, Nursing, and Health Informatics. You can customize your major with electives, minors, and concentrations to tailor your program to your precise interest. AN ENTIRE COMMUNITY BEHIND YOU Kelsie F. Major: Business/Management Hometown: Milledgeville, GA On a close community Coming from a small, close-knit high school, I wanted a college that embodied the feeling of community and family, and at Coastal I found it. On personalized attention Because Coastal is a smaller school, students aren’t numbers but rather we’re known by name. It makes for amazing personal attention!

2

On supporting success We have an incredible support system made up of peers, professors, and staff who believe in you and will do anything to help you succeed.

AN ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION Coastal Georgia was recently ranked as the ninth most affordable small college in the nation. Low tuition, low fees, low student debt – how do we do that? It’s simple – we’re clear about our focus. If it doesn’t enhance student achievement, support, or success, we don’t waste unnecessary dollars on it.

• Smaller, more personalized college • Dedicated, mentoring faculty • Undergraduate only – all resources dedicated to undergrads • Major courses taken in freshman year • Comprehensive, holistic support system • Research opportunities available in freshman year • Free professional and peer tutoring services • Professional, one-on-one advisement

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS With small classes and a studentcentered focus, personalized attention is the norm here. Your professors will know you. They will guide and mentor you. They will help you see a larger vision for your life, as they work side by side with you to help make that vision a reality.

Both seaside playgrounds provide gorgeous surroundings as well as a limitless array of fun activities – from jogging, biking, and hiking to swimming, paddle boarding, and sunning on sandy beaches.

AN AMAZING OUTDOOR CLASSROOM Our coastal environment is not only breathtakingly beautiful, but as one of the first designated, protected wetlands in the nation, it is a fascinating and complex ecosystem, offering an amazing diversity of maritime habitats, wildlife, and sea life. For our students, it is a college classroom unlike any other.

One of our campus leaders said it best when describing Coastal Georgia: “This is a

BIG-SMALL COLLEGE” – big enough to offer every imaginable opportunity, and small enough to know you and be invested in your success. This is an opportunityfilled, personalized college experience – one that truly offers the best of all worlds.

COMMITTED TO YOUR SUCCESS Lily H. Major: Environmental Science Hometown: Dacula, GA On small classes Small class sizes allow students to have personal connections with professors. Help is never hard to find for those who ask for it. On academic support Academic resources – such as tutoring, professors’ office hours, study groups, and supplemental instructors – are abundant and incredibly helpful.

6

On a renewed confidence All of the support and resources have set me up for success and have allowed me to feel more confident and more ambitious in my studies.

AN ENGAGING FACULTY Our professors are involved. They interact daily with students in and outside of the classroom. They invite students to collaborate in research and to attend conferences. You’ll find faculty regularly attending campus events and games, joining students at lunch, or inviting student groups to their homes for dinner. Here, bonds between students and professors are strong. They are deep. They are lasting.

SMALL IS HUGE You won’t find big, impersonal, 200-seat classrooms at Coastal Georgia. Ours is a more personalized education, taught in small classes, where you’ll join in active discussions, engage in hands-on learning, build close relationships with your professors, and receive the individual support and encouragement you need to become your best.

• A student-centered education • Close community in a family-like atmosphere • Diverse student body • Small, active, engaging classes • Average class size: 23 students • 19:1 student-faculty ratio • Mentoring faculty dedicated to student success • Professional, comprehensive system of support

CHILL, IT’S COASTAL Here, at Coastal Georgia, in the Golden Isles, it’s just a different culture. It’s more welcoming. It’s more easy-going. It’s more comfortable. To fit in here, to thrive here, you don’t have to be a certain type of student or a certain type of person. All you have to be...is yourself.
