Abstract Is that possible to love two different countries? Is that possible to really have dual citizenship in your heart? Is that possible to have dual Culture? How much one has to give up in order to fulfill the other?Have I ever stop to think about? Guided by principles of similarities and differences between two nations, the architectural program of the Brazilian Consulate & Bilingual Cultural Center for Portuguese speaking immigrants is an attempt to evaluate the concept of dual architectural culture and its complex social issues. The proposed project nature is to explore a new model of Brazilian consulate around the world integrating different building typologies and functions that can help improve the Cultural Transition for the Brazilian who immigrated to other countries. The Consulate will work directly with the needs of the local emigrated community and will offer a variety of Cultural and Social programs for Brazilians communities.

Furthermore, elements such “the melting pot”, “Statue of Liberty” and the “American Flag” became inspirations for the design forms and process – Each element served as the platform for bringing all the conceptual ideas together.

Art District Tower + Midtown Center for Contemporary Dance Advisor Eric H. Conceptual Ideas To think about Midtown “Atlanta” is to think about all kind of visual arts. In this specific opportunity “DANCE” is the art that I chose to explore conceptual ideas on this mixed use development project. “The city is a dance and Midtown is a dance of the local culture ...thus, the city dances every second along with Life that is a long dance.”

Community Aquatic Center l Atlanta GA USA

featured Works ACADEMIC “A response to the community “ Advisor Kemp Mooney Conceptual Ideas “Community” & “Response” became two strong words in my mind during the design of the aquatic center. Always asking myself as an aspiring architect what is my response to this community? With this question in mind I designed the Aquatic Center. I believed there is a lot of ways to respond these questions. My answer was very simple to create a building environmentally friendlier and generate an attractive outdoor space favorable to the encounter of people in the community. Design Strategies 1. The building is situated along the Lincoln Hwy. It allows creating a buffer between the road and the new proposed site. 2. Stacking the recreational pool as well the eating/concession/socializing and spectator seating gave me a chance to have more “free green area” on the site - This free area would become outdoors spaces for the local community. 3. Introducing the idea to have four “live screens”. 3 SCREENS along the Lincoln Road and one larger screen facing the amphitheater situated in the plaza side . The idea behind these screens is to have the spectators from the outside areas to have a chance to see what is happening inside. 4. Developing the site with more green areas to the community and places favorable to the Encounter of the community 5. Making the building more environmentally friendlier recycling the energy generated by itself.
