Hawn Sprayground The Hawn Park Sprayground is a great way to cool off this summer. The buckets and sprayers will surely hit the spot on those hot days. The Sprayground at Hawn Park will be open during the spring, summer, and fall months. The timer sensor is now working, so water will not constantly be running. When out there, we do remind parents that the surface can be slippery when wet and shoes of some type are encouraged. Coming Soon! Disc Golf We are excited to announce the newest addition to Pecan Grove West is a full 18 basket disc golf course. The course will begin on the south side of the parking lot and travel through the wooded area. Both baskets 9 and 18 will end back at the parking lot. Upon completion we will have an inaugural play and celebration. The Parks and Recreation will have discs for rent. Public Library The Library will now be housed out of the Kerr Building. The Address is 1000 N. East St. With renovations currently being underway, the Library has moved across the street from the Parks and Recreation Department. They will still be offering their services to the citizens of Sherman there until renovations are completed at their former location. Please stop by to say hi and grab a new book while you are there.
