ANCY great achievement in Indonesian football? Naturally,it is all the hopes of the nation. However, do not ever think a great achievement comes as easy as turning a piece pf cake. Achievement needs a process, hard work, perseverance, encouraging environment and even the cost. PSSI and all its elements understand it . Therefore, since the PSSI Congress (KLB) in March 17, 2013, the effort to restore and strengthening the work programme has been endlessly taken into action. Focus on concrete action to push forward the movement of Indonesian football is a preference. Be professional on all aspects is the target, the 2014 chapter was concluded with an evaluation and resolving the progressive steps. The new chapter was opened with the Annual Congress in January 4, 2015 at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta. Many important points were agreed by the committee and voters. All related to the matters of improving the work performance at the central and regional levels. After the Congress, they continue to the Pintu X - XI Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) Senayan, Jakarta. The procession of the inauguration of the new office of PSSI was taken place. It is expected that from this representative and transparent office style that cost 13 billion rupiahs bring better results. Subsequently, while the Technical Director Peter Huistra was busy preparing football coaching schemes from young age by traveling around the archipelago; the Indonesian Futsal Association (AFI) arranged its first competition at the Bung Karno Sports Stadium: AFF Futsal Club Championship 2015, from January 16 to 18. PT Liga Indonesia (LI) acted more insistently. Various preparations towards the Indonesian Super League (ISL) and the Main Division (DU) in 2015 were developed. After passing the verification, the 18 ISL 2015 contestants prepare their squads with TC, trials, and participate in a series of pre-season tournaments. National Team Agency (BTN) also accelerates the preparation of Indonesia U-23 coached by Aji Santoso. The U-16 and U-19 coached by Fakhri Husaini were also being trained. All of these are part of the commitment to create a more professional working to push forward the movement of Indonesian football to reach the best achievement. n

Let Them Know & Enjoy Football There are stages and processes that can not be ignored in the development of young footballers. PIRIT in coaching young footballer, PSSI bring Huistra. He is a Dutch national team former player who’ve become assistant manager of Ajax Amsterdam. With 2 years contract,he fulfils position as PSSI technical Director since November 20, 2014. As Technical Director of PSSI, Huistra focus on a variety of factors related to human resource development of How your opinion about potential football in Indonesia, especially about players in Indonesia? I think in such a big country with so many people with passion for football there must be a lot of talent available. We have to find a way to find the talent and develop it to a good standard. first to a better ranking in Asia. Indonesian football. Especially the HR group is a major work in focus PSSI, it is appropriate to PSSI Annual Congress on January 4th, 2015 in Jakarta, they are about coaches, players and referees. Between three of the human resources groups, Huistra focus on coaching the players. Here are records of an interview with Huistra related tasks and views:
organization for young footballers. there are a lot of private initiatives but no structural league system in which boys and girls can play every week. We should try to organize this. If we can further educate the coaches than we can develop all the talent available How your opinion about relantionship between geographical conditions of Indonesia and football Indonesia development? Indonesia is a big country with long distances between regions. But it also has large cities where people live close
together. The main problem here is that there are not enough facilities to play football every day. If we can put facilities in place you will see that football will explode in this country Based of your experience and as Technical Director PSSI, what would you to do and how aboout your target? There are a few priorities: facilities, slash rental prices of fields so that it is more easy to organise games and leagues. Start a good grassroots programme

to attract young boys and girls to the great game of football. Organise a league system in several provinces. And I would like to extend the Sawangan project with the national team youth teams. If we can train and develop the talented young players in a good way they can achieve succes for their country in 3 to 5 years.
Can you explain about standaritation competition grassroot & youth? Start from festival format, tournament format, and league format. We want to give young football players the chance to have fun to play football. The most fun is always to play games. First small sided games where you have a lot of touches on the ball. Later to measure yourself and your team with other teams. Talented players must get the opportunity to play against other talented players. Here for we have to put a league system in place that provides that everybody can play the game at their suitable level. We are now investigating which league set up is most suitable for each province.A

How about the standaritation grassroot & youth management? We want to make guidelines for clubs and football schools. This can help them to improve the development of young players. The guidelines are based on successful programmes used in other countries.

position as Technical Director of PSSI. “I accept PSSI offering because I am challenged to help increasing the level of Indonesian football that they have great potential. Indonesia needs a proper figure, willing, and able to develop football in country to an international level. In the process, coaching young footballers should be a priority. Because, that’s the only way for Indonesian football lifted to higher levels as expected,” explained Huistra. Even though, to bring into reality that not as easy as it. Huistra faced variety of problems. Start from qualified infrastructure limited and affordable of the rental rate to a lack of well-integrated young age competition, according to regulations, and competitive. “Indonesian Football is growing, but still lagged behind other countries. But, that’s not the reason. Indonesian football can be more advanced. One of the way is a hold events such as young age competitive match start from the provincial level for reducing the cost of accommodation,” said Huistra.

Therefore, BTN will announce a new head coach in February 2015. “We are still waiting for the World Cup 2018 and Asia Cup 2019 group drawings while finalizing the appointment of a new coach,” said the Secretary of BTN, Sefdin Syaifudin. The drawings will be held in mid-February 2015. The results of the drawings can be used for arranging the

programmes of BTN for the national team, including the appointment of officials and other supporting matters. The PSSI now is focusing to the U-23 squad which will play in Group H of the AFC U-23 Championship qualification 2016 in Qatar, which will be held in March 2015. The Young Garuda squad, with Aji Santoso as the head coach will also play in the 28th SEA Games 2015 in Singapore. Gold medal is the target from this event. Aji is
very determined and the Young Garuda squad are trained through the TC programme regularly. With such agenda, BTN does not need to rush in appointing the replacement of Rield. The Secretary of PSSI Joko ‘Jodri’ Driyono instead stated the possibility of the national team head by interim head coach. That would be the option if BTN could not find the right figure to fill the permanent head coach. A l

INDONESIA U-23: Developing the squad through TC, trial games and players selection.
INDONESIA U-23
2 In Coming Events, Swift Trained Squad Indonesia U-23 welcome AFC U-23 Championship 2016 qualifications and the 28th SEA Games 2015. Coach Aji Santoso trained the squad through the TC phase 3 in Sidoarjo, East Java.

fter the Asian Games 2014, in Incheon, South Korea, Aji and his staffs were handed important task. He had to train the squad to face two important events in 2015, the AFC U-23 Championship 2016 qualificationss and 28th SEA Games 2015. The AFC U-23 Championship qualifications in Qatar is not faraway. The event will be held in March 2015. To reach the final stages in Qatar, the Young Garuda must pass the first obstacles against South Korea, Timor Leste, and Brunei Darussalam . The national team stand a chance . That is because Indonesia will play in home soil. Indonesia will host the Group H match of the AFC U-23 Championship qualifications

and will be against Timor Leste on March 27th, 2015s. In order to be effective, the National Team Agency (BTN) had set theTC for the squad since November 28th, 2014. TC Phase I was held in Yogyakarta State University (UNY),Yogyakarta. The TC lasted until December 7th, 2014. At that time, Aji had involved 60 players. Only in the TC phase 2 in December 18th, 2014 to January 5th, 2015 at the National Youth Training Center (NYTC) PSSI, Sawangan, Depok, West Java, had Aji trimmed the squad to 30 players. In the second phase of the TC, the young squad would play 2 trial matches, against Africa Selection on December 31st, 2014 and Martapura FC on January 4th, 2015. Played at the NYTC PSSI, theYoung Garuda won 4-1 against Africa Selection and held by Martapura FC 0-0.
In the third phase of the TC, between 1 to 18 February 2015 in Sidoarjo, East Java, Aji cut the squad to 27 players. Besides regular exercise, the young squad will also have a trial match against Malaysia and Syria. These two matches will be held at the Delta Stadium, Sidoarjo. Syria on February 14th and Malaysia on February 17th 2015. “Our priority for the TC at this time is the AFC U-23 Championship 2016 qualifications. After that, we will focus the preparations for the SEA Games,“ said Aji. Related the competition in Group H, Aji said the three opponents have been growing rapidly since the Asian Games 2014. Therefore, Aji and his staff were collecting various datas regarding the strengths and weaknesses about these respective opponents. Not only is the South Korean being observed, but Brunei and Timor Leste as well. In addition to TC programme and trial games, the squad’s officials continue to dig team datas, video datas, and the schedules. All of these are done for the preparation to solidify the squad before facing South Korea, Brunei, and East Timor. To be certain, all the three opponents have also had their own preparations. Brunei and Tirmor Leste had shown already that they were more advanced when performing in the SEA Games 2013. The South Korean are more forward than when in Asian Games. So, the Young Garuda must continue training hard to be succesful.AAhmad Fawwaz Usman SCHEDULE OF Indonesia U-23 AT THE GrOup H AFCChampionship 2016 Qualification

TIM U-16 INDONESIA: The outcome of Fakhri and his team travelling and seeking throughout the archipelago.
Indonesia U-16 & U-19
Extreme Weather, Maximum Tramdining Even in extreme weather, maximum trainings remained. Recent extreme weather swiped Indonesia. This can interfere with the trainings. However, Fakhri Husaini ensures maximum trainings are still running.
S
TARTING from 2015, Fakhri said that the U-14 have turned into U-16 and U-17 to U-19. He talked about renaming the terms of his two squads. Like Aji Santoso with Indonesia U-23, Fakhri too, has been busy coaching the Indonesia U-16 and Indonesia U-19 for the next several months. He was being assigned to handle the preparations of the two teams facing series of important events throughout 2015. In fact, the two squads have already been in the TC phase 2 since January 18th, 2014. It is a continuation of the first phase of TC which was
26
l
l January
2015 l
held from September 2014 to December 2014. Fakhri has involved 35 players in each 2 teams, Fakhri and his staff made some preparations for these two squads. TC Phase 1 ended with the 2 trial matches for each teams. After that, Fakhri gave the squads a holiday. The new players gathered to be in the TC phase 2 at the National Youth Training Center (NYTC) PSSI, Sawangan, West Java. According to the agenda of the National Team Agency (BTN) , TC phase 2 will be held until March 23rd, 2015. For Indonesia U-16 squad, Fakhri had chosen 32 players. Indonesia U-19 has 35 players and it was not yet final. Although the current focus of the current squads, Fakhri
admitted that he did not rule out calling new players. “Indeed, the list of players that exist today was the result of our observations from around Indonesia. This does not come from any recommendations, let alone spontaneous. We have made some evaluations of their progress for a long time,” said Fakhri. In the TC phase 2, the list of players who was released by BTN was somewhat surprising. There are two names which were under former coach Indra Sjafri’s squad in that list. They are Mohammed Dimas Drajad and Awan Setho Raharjo. Dimas and Awan have still the required age to perform with the Indonesia U-19. Awan was born in March 20, 1997 and Dimas was born in March 30, 1997. Their presence is clearly a strength booster for Indonesia U- 19 squad. On the other hand, the trainings designed for the U-16 and U-19 are focused for fitness and restoring the physical condition of the players. Understandably, not all the players can keep the good physical condition at the given time during holiday. To avoid having physical problems, Fakhri has focused to restore the condition of the players up to third week TC phase 2. The coach team also intensively arranged a series of physical tests for the players. Other factors are also worth anticipated is that the recent extreme weather in Indonesia. The weather in the country is often difficult to predict. Heavy rains and strong winds can suddenly hit. Thus, although the practice remains to be done, Fakhri also think about the safety of his squad. “It is often raining and lightning in Sawangan. We must have a strategy for the health and safety of the players is a priority. After all, morning exercises is enough to keep their physical endurance,” said Fakhri . In 2015, Fakhri along the U-16 and U-19 squads have two important agendas. The Indonesia U-16 will participate in the AFF U-16 Championship in 2015 and the AFC U-16 Championship 2016 qualifications. So are the Indonesia U-19 will be deployed in the AFF U-19 Championship 2015 and the AFC U-19 Championship qualifications. That’s what makes the extreme weather is not such an obstacle. INDONESIAN FUTSAL TEAM: Great potential to achieve at the international level.
Indonesian Futsal National Team
AFI Soon To Select The Head Coach There is a list of candidates for Indonesian futsal national team head coach. Futsal Association of Indonesia (AFI) will soon make the selection in February 2015.
W
hen the Indonesian football team continues to struggle for winning the AFF Suzuki Championship title, futsal team was able to bring the AFF Futsal Championship trophy to the country. It was in 2010, when the AFF Futsal Championship was held in Vietnam. AFI, 1 of 5 associations of PSSI members to receive the full mandate of the PSSI for futsal authority since August 13rd, 2014, was well aware of that. Therefore, AFI dared to set high targets. AFI is targeting Indonesia can make it to the big 4 in Asia. “When the target is reached, Indonesia will on course to participate at the FIFA Futsal World Cup, Colombia 2016,” said Hari Tanoesoedibjo, Chairman of AFI.

It is based on the regulations and slot contestant for FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016. 4 of the 24 contestants of FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 are taken from the top 4 teams in the AFC Futsal Championship 2016 China Taipei. In order to reach the target, Indonesia just have to qualify for the finals of the AFC Futsal Championship 2016. To participate in the final stages of the AFC Futsal Championship 2016, Indonesia must at least finsh third in the AFF Futsal Championship 2015 Indonesia. It is obvious that AFI is focusing the national team in all preparations to face the AFF Futsal Championship 2015 in Yogyakarta in October 8 to 18, 2015. Moreover, after it was confirmed that Futsal will not be included in SEA Games 2015 in Singapore. However, AFI is also aware that in achieving the target
AFF Futsal Championship & Indonesia futsal national team
is not as easy as a piece of cake. Thus, efforts must be performed. One of those is to bring in a foreign head coach which have experiences of managing other countries to perform in the finals of the FIFA Futsal World Cup. A series of candidates for the job has been presented. Three leading candidates are Sergio Gargelli (former head coach of Vietnam), Jose ‘Pulpis’ Maria Pazos Mendez (former head coach of Thailand) and Steven Knight (the head coach of Australia). Referring to the terms and condition from AFI, Pulpis and Knight have emerged as strong candidates. Pulpis had successfully brought Thailand to the finals of FIFA World Cup 2008 Brazil. Meanwhile Knight had brought Australia to the finals of FIFA World Cup 2012 Thailand. Edhi Prasetyo, the General Secretary of AFI makes sure all the candidates for Indonesian futsal team head coaches will come to the country as the selection will take place in February 2015. UNJ WOMEN FUTSAL: Runner up kategori putri AFF Futsal Club Championship 2015 Indonesia.
IPC Pelindo triumphed in mens’ category and UNJ Women Futsal finished runner up in the women’s category. “Through the letter, signed by Lt. Gen. Dato Azzuddin Ahmad (The General Secretary of the AFF, retired) and addressed to the PSSI, the AFF bid gratitude and congratulations on the carrying out of the event which was successful and achievements of Indonesia in the AFF Futsal club Championship in 2015,” said the Secretary of AFI Edhi Prasetyo.
Before AFF brought out AFF Futsal Club Championship, AFC has firstly held AFC Futsal Club Championship since 2010. The Indonesian clubs have followed the competition since 2011. However, in 2014, Indonesian clubs did not appear for the same reason as the AFF Futsal Club Championship qualifiers in 2015. “We hope the AFF Futsal Club Championship do not stop here. The AFF Futsal Club Championship will be held again in 2016 and so on. In
fact, if it could, the AFF Futsal Club Championship could be the qualifying phase of Southeast Asian clubs for appearing in the AFC Futsal Club,” said head coach IPC Pelindo, Dada Iskandar. Nur ‘Anto’ Fitranto, the UNJ Women Futsal head coach also expressed similar expectations. He says the event of the AFF Futsal Club Championship will trigger the motivation for any futsal clubs in the country.

Premier Division 2015
Played With the Initial Unification Scheme The acceleration plan related with the unification scheme in Premier Division (DU) competition has failed. DU 2015 will still be held in accordance with initial unification scheme competition. The 56 club was obtained from the results of the competition in 2014, from DU, Indonesia Super League (ISL), Division I to the Nusantara Cup. Of the 63 clubs who play in the DU 2014, only 46 survived. Seventeen other clubs relegated to the Nusantara Cup in 2015 because their position is the second bottom of the of the group phase or since resigned from DU in 2014. Of the 46 clubs that escape the degradation, 2 of which promoted to ISL 2015. They are Pusamania Borneo FC and Persiwa Wamena. However, Persiwa relegated to DU in 2015 because they did not pass the verification related financial aspects and infrastructure imposed by PT LI. Persiwa is not alone. A similar fate
happened to Persik Kediri. They failed in ISL 2015 and had to go down to DU in 2015 due to not pass the verification. Outside the 46 clubs of DU in 2014, DU 2015 is also followed by 4 clubs which were relegated from the ISL 2014, 2 clubs promoted from Division I in 2014and 6 clubs promoted from the Nusantara Cup 2014. INDONESIA JUNIOR LEAGUE: The spirit of young footballers without seting aside education.
GRASSROOT
From the Bottom Layer, Talented Generation Polished With his own way, Rezza Mahaputra Lubis tried to push forward the national football. He launched Indonesian Junior League (IJL). From that event, he hopes talented young generation emerged. Football unites, can even be empowered for lifting the dignity of the nation. Indonesia also has great potential in that direction. Of course, it takes a good process and hard work altogether . The process starts from the bottom, not the opposite way. Look at the achievement of Indonesia U-19 national team. They won the AFF U-19 Championship in 2013 after defeating Vietnam on penalties in the final. In

fact, they also got through the finals of the AFC U-19 Championship in 2014. Unfortunately, they failed to get through the World Cup U-20 in 2015. PSSI as the parent organization of the national football take action. Improvements in the various sectors preserve, including football coaching at the young age. The presence of Indonesian Education League (LPI) and LIPIO Camp became the proof. Of course, the efforts to push forward
the movement of Indonesian football can not only be executed by PSSI. The support of many parties are needed. The community are also expected to take part in the activities of coaching the young age. It also a compel PT Langkah Juara Indonesia joint with PT Jakarta Propertindo to show the real action. They organised U-11 competition. “This is one of our efforts to find and foster talented young players . From here, we hope the players continue to grow and participate to lift Indonesia,” said Rezza, CEO IJL. Starting 2 November 2014 until February 15, 2015, IJL was held at the Lapangan Mini Pluit Reservoir, North Jakarta. Besides to the facilities sustained was quite appropriate, the Pluit Reservoir which is now clean is one of tourist destinations for the residents of Jakarta. Therefore, the IJL event was uniquely impressive. Although it was the first season, IJL was worth mentioning as the qualified young age competition. The round robin system with a duration of 2 x 15 minutes per game was applied , IJL tried to follow the FIFA regulations. Indeed, the event was not entirely able to be
run optimally. FIFA itself set the game for ages of 9-10 with a duration of 2 x 20-25 minutes. Rezza also admitted that the implementation of IJL still marked by a number of shortcomings. Even so, as a first step, followed by 20 teams IJL SSB of Jabodetabek remains real action that should be appreciated. It might be well worth expected and supported subsequent events can be run more comprehensive. Rezza firmly expressed his determination for continuation of IJL events so that one day be able to contribute to the PSSI and national football. In fact, in order to come up with a talented young generations are polished from the lower-tier competition, he is ready to widen the scope of IJL to the island of Java. D Sugeng Purwanto

It was a testimony to how sport was cool, important, and essential. Besides definitely healthier, the aura of personality is more competent. For me, sport makes me more enjoy and confident to meet anyone, “said Dini during the chat at Black Canyon Coffee, Cipete, South Jakarta. Dini then hope the government gives more concern, even make the sports as priority areas in Indonesia. She explicitly mentions Indonesia with a multitude of potentials need clear political will and sternness from the
government to grow the sports as part of the national culture. Without it, the sports Indonesia is just an obligatory. It is difficult to develop. That’s because the government at this moment give less support. In fact, in other countries, sports is remarkably addressed and interpreted as a healthy, positive, constructive, prestigious, friendly activities and even as national pride. “Actually, sports began to become the lifestyle of Indonesia. More and more people are now aware of the importance of exercising and health. Make improvement and increase the level, the government should make sport as one of priority areas. Sports is multidimensional. The country’s economy become more solid and advanced as a healthy nation is able to work more productively. Whoever the President, I hope the government does not ignore sports,” said Dini. Dini also hopes that the government give convenience for private parties who cares about sports in Indonesia. By doing so, the private sector would be more enthusiastic to drive forward the sports in Indonesia.A
