Thursday April 15 Make your own way to XXX airport and check in for your flight to XXX. Here meet our coach and local expert guide and travel to Sedona, AZ in the heart of Red Rock Country! Hotel description – waiting on Hilton Friday April 16 After a fabulous Breakfast at the resort we head North to The Grand Canyon South Rim. Over a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide The Grand Canyon is the most famous of U.S. National Parks and is truly a sight to behold. With layered bands of colorful rock revealing millions of years of geology, the views are simply breath taking. Take advantage of the National Park Service shuttle, which will whisk you to the best viewing points along the rim. Lunch today is included at the El Tovar Hotel, in their majestic dining room, which has hosted the likes of Teddy Roosevelt, Sir Paul McCartney and now you! Departing the South Rim, we head towards Lake Powell, but not before a stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post which boasts a huge array of gifts, souvenirs and local Native American art and produce. Our home away from home for the next two nights is located on the shore of Lake Powell, a man-made lake and part of the Colorado River which now forms the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Lake Powell Resort is the best place in town to experience the ever-changing colors of the lake and its canyon like walls. The hotel’s restaurant offers panoramic views and a terrific menu which we highly recommend for dinner tonight. B Saturday April 17 Enjoy breakfast at your leisure before we hop onto a tour boat for a cruise down Antelope Canyon on Lake Powell. The Antelope Canyon Tour provides an up-close opportunity to view the narrow, colorful, and sculpted geology of the lower end of Lake Powell. This high-walled Navajo Sandstone side-arm of Lake Powell is famous not only for its coloration, but also for its famous slot canyons. This afternoon we visit the reason for Lake Powell, the Glen Canyon Dam. Descend into the dam itself and learn about its construction and operation today. Tonight, is free for dinner and to enjoy the resorts amenities. B Sunday April 18 After our final Breakfast overlooking Lake Powell we head through parts of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument to another famous U.S. National Park, Zion! Join the convenient NPS shuttle and explore this incredible Canyon. Gaze upwards at massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink and red that soar into a brilliant blue sky and experience the wilderness of Zion’s narrow slot canyons. Leaving the peace and quiet of the desert we now head to the lights and excitement of Las Vegas. Our hotel for the next 4 days will be Mandalay Bay, located on the famous Las Vegas Strip.
