MEETING AT THE AIRPORT
For trips involving air, the airfare is included in the trip price. Customers will meet at the departing airport. The customer is responsible for arriving at the airport for departure, and will be met at the arriving airport on day one of the tour. While airfare is included in the package price, the price may vary depending on availability. Passengers are responsible for all airline checked bag(s) fee.
SPECIAL RATE LODGING IN SAVANNAH
If the Savannah departure point is not convenient for meeting the trip on the day of departure (or if a Charleston pickup is not available), we have arranged special rates for lodging the night before a trip or the last night of a trip near our office in Savannah, GA. Hotel room, breakfast, parking over the duration of the trip, and taxes are available for $75.00 per person (double occupancy) per night. Just call us and we will make the arrangements. Remember, for groups of 10 or more, we will meet a group at any point along the route.

Built circa 1740, some 40 years before the American Revolutionary War, Hopsewee was one of the South’s major rice plantations and the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr. who signed the Declaration of Independence. Explore the home including the two original slave cabins that still stand on the grounds. Ms. Zenobia Harper, an artist & storyteller will provide a Gullah tour of the property which will focus on the enslaved Africans who worked the Plantation and then flourished into a thriving community & culture known as Gullah after receiving their freedom. Enjoy High Tea at the River Oak Cottage Tearoom. Modeled on the English afternoon tea, indulge in three courses: a large variety of sandwiches, baked scones with all the trimmings, and a selection of sweets & cakes, along with, of course, Tea!
