What is Democracy?
A government where the people rule. There is no Queen, no King, Only the voice of the People.
Democracy in Ancient Athens All adult citizens were required to be part of the government.
500 names were chosen to serve in the government for one year
Children, Women, and Slaves weren’t allowed to vote
Activism in Ancient Athens

Voting system in Athens The People would use these plates to vote. If the plates were whole then that means that they support the candidate who will be leader of Athens. But if the plates have a hole then that means the people do not support candidate.
United States Democracy Allowing all people to vote and have a voice in changing laws.
United States Activism Sometimes the United States makes mistakes and doesn’t treat everyone equally.
So the people have to use their first amendment rights to have their voices heard and to make a change.
Voting system in the United States The electoral college is the system for voting. The people fill out a ballet in order to vote for whoever they choose.
