“It goes by so fast!” Cliche...because it’s true. You won’t really notice, though. Not until you’re looking back on the year, and the little hand dimples and pudgy cheeks have gone away.
There are so many changes in the first weeks, and then months, that you will find yourself wanting to go back. If even for a moment, to the first time your finger was grasped by a tiny hand, or the frst time your little one smiled, because you walked into the room.
The milestones can be an age, or they can be a smile, or sitting up, or a first step. The little things you want to put in a little box and keep in your heart forever, so you can visit them any time you’d like.

FINE PRINT AND EXTRAS: *Images on disc are edited but not retouched. Printable up to 5x7 size. You may exchange this for the equivalent value in products: $250 per session. This prepaid package includes an $800 discount off of the full price total! Sessions take place in or near the studio (within 10 miles.) Please inquire for travel rates. 1 sibling may be added to some photos - no charge. Photos with parents are also included. You may add on additional siblings for $25.
the Milestones Album Our albums are designed in-house, completely retouched and professionally printed on archival, fine art gallery paper. The result is a book that is richer in depth than you ever imagined. The best feature of this particular album is the lay-flat binding, which means each spread can be laid out as a full canvas, with no interruption of the image in the middle. Your best images can be gloriously displayed across the entire spread. The value of your album will be based on your choices; size, quantity of images, and cover style. Your collection INCLUDES the 8x8 album, and you may upgrade to any size you like. 11x14 with 60 images $1840 9x12 with 50 images: $1540 8x8 with 30 images $1080 You may own digital copies of ALL of the retouched album files for a flat fee of $750, if purchased at the time the album goes to print. After this point, I no longer keep the files on-site.
I do not keep the files on site or archive unordered files after the book is complete.
Shhhh... FOR A SUCCESSFUL SHOOT...
Do not disrupt the baby’s schedule, if you can help it. If the baby is a newborn, we are likely to get both sleeping and awake images during your session. It is best not to alter their current state; if you visualized sleepy, snuggling pictures of baby with parents and baby is awake... just go with it. Feed, feed, feed! Feed the baby just before the shoot, and have more prepared. Babies are always starving during shoots. We don’t know why, but it is just one of those mysteries of the universe that is very consistent. We are very likely to take at least one break during your session for a full feeding....even if he just ate an hour ago.
MILESTONES SESSIONS differ from regular family sessions, in that your baby is the “star of the show.� I will take some photos of baby with parents, and siblings if applicable, but the focus is mainly on the baby and his/her development; documenting his/her first year.
Don’t Worry... this is normal.
Expect that they he/she may be fussier than usual. It may be a lot of stimulation, with the posing and outfit changes, and possible new atmosphere...even new smells. Don’t worry, we know how to catch the right “split second.” Allow about two hours for the shoot, so I can catch approximately 30 good split seconds. (wink!) We also expect that your baby will pee on our props. NO biggie. We have laundry.
WARNING: You are going to like a lot of the photos. That’s good, right? YES! But, it can be overwhelming. This is why you will have HELP. After each session, you are welcome to an inperson ordering consultation in the studio, where you will receive guidance on choosing the best images, ideas for display, and options for customization.v Orders received within 2 weeks of each session will be discounted by 10%, so don’t procrastinate!

WHAT IS A PROFESSIONALLY FINISHED IMAGE? This is the difference between a proof, or just “getting a disc,� and getting a finished product from a professional. Your chosen/ordered images will be color corrected, brightened or darkened as needed, and they will be retouched. Retouching means removing those temporary, distracting things that we all deal with from time to time. With babies, it means acne, scratches, drool, and redness. With new parents, it can mean dark circles under the eyes, or flyaway hair. Retouching means removing those things.
Professional printing means that what we produce will be what we seen on the screen. Consumer labs and drugstores will not have any of that quality control, and it is for this reason, that you are not abandoned with a disc. This is a full service studio, with professionally finished, custom products, tailored to your home decor and taste.
It’s not all about smiling. You really, really want to show how happy-go-lucky and peaceful your baby is. I get it. I’ve been there. But what I’ve learned over the years is that I treasure the images with the most personality over all. Whether it be joy, or sass, or tenderness, those are the pictures that will make you smile as you look back at them. Babies do really funny things. Just relax and enjoy it.
