Renovations When people are looking to begin a new project, we always encourage them to consider a renovation project rather than a new-build. Quite simply, if you’re looking for the most bang-for-your-buck, renovations are the clear choice. Renovation projects are HIGHLY TARGETED and SPECIFIC to the areas you’re looking to improve.
Existing homes and commercial properties often have a charm and a character all their own. We work to ensure your project integrates well within that character-- so well you could fool the neighbors.
Project Portfolio: Commercial Build Outs Commercial Water Damage Restoration Additions Renovations Partial Demolitions
Residential addition Our family has lived in this home for three years. We loved the location and there was a special charm to the bi-level set into a hill. We had a few problem-spots. We have a large family, so that meant the 70’s dining room was tight. And, our master bedroom was in the basement--something we didn’t love. Finally, I work from home quite a bit and our kids were always getting into my workspace. We decided we needed to extend our dining area, add a small home office, and create a master bedroom space we could call our own.
Matt helped us with his referral for a designer to get our ideal layout down on paper. Then we met with him and he had a lot of questions that helped us narrow our focus. Finally, he worked with us to be sure when people drove by they didn’t look at the house and say to themselves, “they totally added on to their house.”
The end product is a valuable area of the house that we use DAILY. The home office is great for me and I let the older kids use it for homework. Our larger dining room seats us all comfortably and has room for guests! Finally, we look forward every night to retreating into our master bedroom space--a place that is our own and much more comfortable than being in the basement. If you’re hesitant about a renovation project, our advice is to find a way to do it now so you can truly enjoy the space for years to come! -Nate and Jen Raiche

Commercial Renovation | In Progress Still in the construction phase, Organic Grounds will become a premiere restaurant of choice for those looking for nourishing meals and coffee beverages. While our coffee, espresso and menu offerings will bring people into the restaurant and begin a relationship of service with them; it will be our uniquely relaxing atmosphere and first-rate service that will quickly make Organic Grounds a favorite establishment. To begin renovating a historic, downtown building, our first step was to work with a local architecture firm to create a design to update our historic building to both reflect its roots and charm and bring it forward as a new and upcoming restaurant. We will create a relaxed, rustic contemporary interior design with warm lighting throughout.
The restaurant will seat up to 75 patrons with a mezzanine to accommodate a party of up to 40 attendees. The interior design and ambiance will become a sought-after environment for clientele. This historic building has been a part of the local community since 1891 and we plan on working with Fleming Construction to restore the front façade to its original glory. New windows, metal work, doors and siding will tap into the historic character while bringing forth an on-trend design. The unique atmosphere inside will feature three fireplaces, intimate seating and contemporary, rustic dÊcor.

Residential addition/demolition As our family grew, our house continued to feel smaller and smaller. We loved the location as it was close to family and friends. And, we loved the house. But, reality was setting in and we were facing the fact we’d have to move. Instead, we decided to meet with Matt to see what his thoughts were. We told him our pain points--small kitchen and lack of privacy for us to escape at the end of the day.
Matt recommended someone to draft the plans. He worked with us on budget and timeline. We debated between a smaller remodel or a bigger renovation. We opted for the bigger project, we moved out for a bit as the roof had to be reconfigured. We couldn’t be happier with the end-result. Our family utilizes every inch of space that’s been updated and it’s made our home life much smoother. - Adam and Kathryn Husing
