~The Family
Carolyn Delores Braden Hall was born on January 25, 1946, in Memphis, TN—the youngest of seven children born to Mr. Greene and Mrs. Annie Dortch Braden.
She was a 12-year graduate of Melrose High School, (Class of ‘63). She also attended Memphis State University.
Carolyn had an infectious smile and was one of the friendliest people you could ever meet. She loved reading, socializing, going out with the Birthday Club, singing in the Church Choir, and spending time with her family.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to her Best Friend and the Love of her Life, Mr. Lloyd Lee Foster Hall, in 1969, and to this union, they had one son, Gregory V. Hall. Although she was reared and Baptized as a Methodist, she converted to Catholicism because her husband was Catholic. From that moment on, she was a devoted Catholic parishioner at St. Augustine until her demise, Carolyn was employed by the IRS and worked there for 30 years until she retired.
Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memories: one son, Gregory Vidal Hall; two grandsons, Joshua Hall, and Amari Bell; two granddaughters, Dariawn Clarke, and Taylor Hall; and one great-grandson, Josiah Hall. (all of Florida), 4 generations of nieces and nephews, one aunt, Mrs. Nellie Clark ( of Arizona), her mother-in-law, Ms. Beatrice Frye ll, one sister-in-law, Barbara A. Dotch-Okara ( both of Canton, Massachusetts), several cousins and friends, and 1 Goddaughter, Paula King Martin.
Tia,
Life seems so different since you’ve gone away. I find myself struggling to get through the day. No point in talking to others. They don’t understand.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalms 23
I’m taking everything to God and told to leave it in HIS hands. My cool Aunt, Advisor, Confidant, and Friend, I lost all of this when your life came to an end. Encourager, fun company on trips away from home. Glad that I have fond memories that I can look back on. Through my tears, I can still see your face and hear your laughter in my mind. Boosting me to feel better, And I will...in time.
I thank GOD for all the years that we’ve had together, And for all the love that you’ve shown me.
I’ll appreciate forever.
Love Always, ~ Nesi
If Roses grow in Heaven Lord, please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love her and miss her, and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.
Love You Always,
