Life’s Reflections
harles Lee Howell was born on October 28, 1949, in Nesbit, Mississippi, to Tony James Sr. and Minnie Joe Howell. He is the ninth of thirteen children. Charles accepted Christ at an early age at Love Baptist Church. His parents, six brothers, and one sister preceded him in death; (James Edward, W.E., James Herman, Sie, William Earl, Charlie, and Roberta.) Charles received his undergraduate degree from Rust College, majoring in Mathematics. Charles loved working with computers and worked as a Computer Analyst and Technician for more than 40 years. Charles leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 31 years, Mrs. Lizzie L. Howell, a daughter who was raised to this marriage, Laquita Watson Ward, and two other daughters from a previous marriage, Tajuanya Daniels and Juneane Rush, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memories four sisters, Minnie Jackson (Sylvester) of Memphis, Willie Ann Dudley of Memphis, Bessie Lee Simmons (Earl) of Hernando, Mary Ann Moore (John) of Hernando, and two brothers, Tony James (Edna) of Los Angeles, Joe Lee Howell of Memphis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
WHEN I LOST YOU I wish I could see you one more time, Come walking through the door. But I know that is impossible, I will hear your voice no more. I know you can feel my tears And you don’t want me to cry, Yet my heart is broken because I can’t understand why someone So precious had to die. I pray that God will give me strength And somehow get me through. As I struggle with the heartache That came When I Lost You. ~~Your beloved wife, Liz

Daddy Daddy, what can we say about a father who cannot be described with mere words. The impact of your asence cannot be verbalized. We are happy that you are in a better place where there’s no tears, no pain, no worries, but the magtiude of your departure brings such sorrow. You made us eat when we weren’t hungry, were always willing to listen, always willing to help, discipline us even if were too old, didn’t do anything or were not your child, and we will long remember, laugh, and talk about you years to come. You have greatly impacted our lives for that we are thankful. We salute you. --Your Laquita, Tajunya & Juneane

God saw the road was getting rough. The hills were hard to climb, He gently closed those loving eyes: And whispered, “Peace Be Thine!” The weary hours, the days of pain, The sleepless nights are passed. The ever-presant worn-out frame, Has found sweet rest at last In God’s eternal home. Where there is no pain or sorrow, We hope to see your loving face, In that never ending tomorrow. -Sisters & Brothers
