Tribute To Our Mom
“Mom, you were always there for me, Through thick and thin, you were my rock. But now, as I watch you fade away, I must let you go to the hands of the clock.
Your time has come to leave this earth, To find peace in God’s arms. I will cherish our memories, our moments of joy, And know that in my heart, you’ll always be home.
You were more than a mother; you were my best friend, And though I will miss you with every breath, I know that your spirit will never indeed end, For you’ll live on in me, even after death.
So goodbye, for now, my dearest MOM, I’ll hold you close in my heart. And though we may be apart, Our love will never part, from this life to the next. From your loving children; Veta and Arth, Lorna and Tobias.
The chapter is not over it’s just the beginning. The essence of her beauty is to be described as loving and sharing unconditional love with people. That love that flows from heart to heart and breath to breath.”
The family of Francye Williams Towers would like to express our gratitude for the many acts of kindness extended to us during this time. Your uplifting words, unrelenting support, and fervent prayers have given us the strength to praise God in all circumstances. ~The Family ~ Repast ~ Immediately Following Celebratiom Service Christ Missionary Baptist Church 494 South Parkway East Memphis, Tennessee 38106
Life’s Reflections
Mrs. Francye Towers was born on June 25, 1946, in the vibrant town of Sunflower, MS. She was the daughter of the late Persephone Harkless.
Upon graduating from Mound Bayou High School in 1964, she answered the call to become an educator. Her craft was nurtured at Mississippi Valley State University, where she earned her Bachelor Of Arts in Education.
She taught in the North Bolivar School District at Shelby Elementary and retired at Duncan Elementary School (Brooks Elementary). She taught 1st grade for over 20 plus years, garnering several awards. She was a mentor to teachers and parents throughout her career.
Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, and taking care of her family. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She was regarded as the “Neighborhood Mom”; always willing to share an encouraging word and a hot meal. Thanks to her meals, our dinner table has fed many people, she often said jokingly.
