You held my hand when I was small, you caught me when I fell, the hero of my childhood and of later years as well. Every time I think of you, my heart just fills with pride, and though I will always miss you dad, I know you’re by my side. In laughter and sorrow, in sunshine and rain, I know you’re watching over me until we meet again.

Your Loving Daughter,

Myah

A brother like no other. I prayed for you until the day you came, it was a joy to give you your name. It was an honor to watch you grow into the man that you were. You have left a legacy, and there is no one like you. I will hold on to the memories we shared. I know that I have been blessed to have you as my brother. I love you, brother like no other.

Love Your Sister’s Monique and Marci

I sat there in a daze, the words didn’t sink in, it took a while. But when I finally realized that you were gone the pain was too much and I hoped they were wrong. But their words were true and never again would I hold you. Why did you go and leave this pain. It hurts me more each day that I won’t see your face, smiling walking through the door with Macho. Couldn’t you have stayed and been here with me to take away this pain. But I know you’re better off in Heaven, baby. Rest on

Love You Always Kesha

Marlin,

You were my first love, my protector and my friend. We have 20 years of laughs, fears, jokes, and tears together. Not many people are blessed with a friendship like ours. Our bond was unbreakable. You taught me so many valuable lessons. Not being able to hear you voice again is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to accept. But I will take comfort in the many beautiful memories you that you left with me. Rest in Heaven

Love Always, Ayeshea

Marlin,

I was so honored when Margaret asked me to be your Godmother. I quickly accepted, and to hear you call me “Nanny” made me proud. I will miss the hugs and smiles. I am also glad that you made Jesus your Lord and Savior, and that means that I will see you again in my future. I love you

Henreitta “Nanny” Lamar

wonderful as loved as one could be for you were everything in life you meant the world, you see And sometimes life can be unkind when hearts are torn in two but nothing ever could compare to the pain of losing you But all the love you left behind, forever will live on and so until we meet again rest peacefully, dear SonFor a part of us went with you... the day God called you Home.

I Love You. Your Mother, Margaret

Remembering

arlin M

Marlin “BigTruck” Preston

was born on February 04, 1980 to Margaret Clark and the late

Preston Taylor in Memphis, TN.

Marlin accepted Christ at an early age and was a strong God fearing man with a humble heart that will never be forgotten. In 1998 he graduated from Whitehaven High School. Marlin spoke trucking into existence at a young age. As a child whenever he saw a truck he would say “that’s my big truck.” Marlin made his dream become a reality by pursuing formal training to obtain his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). At the age of 21 with the help of his sister Monique he received his first 18-wheeler, and would later become a successful entrepreneur by establishing H&H Transportation. Marlin’s true passion was trucking, and with hard work and dedication, H&H Transportation is known as one of the leading small black-owned trucking companies in the mid-south. Marlin was a devoted father, and avid reader and a car enthusiast. On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, he gained his heavenly wings at the age of 36 in Beaumont, TX along with his traveling buddy Macho (his Dog). He leaves many loved ones to cherish his amazing memories: his mother, Margaret Clark, daughter, Myah Clark, three sisters; Monique Clark, Marci Clark, and Kristi Mosley (Clarencev), a niece and nephew; Jermon Thomas and Kyler White, two great nephews Jaden and Jayce Thomas, a Cousin/Brother, Melvin Jackson Jr. (Trudy), three uncles; Isaac Clark (Marilyn), Bobbie Clark (Katie) and Ulysses Clark (Sandra), one aunt, Helen Johnson (Larry), the mother of his daughter, Ayeshea Standard, a friend Kesha Matthews a godmother, Henrietta “Nanny” Lamar and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
