As a result, they leave JESS Dubai equipped with a variety of transferrable skills needed for the rigours of employment and higher education.
The BTEC class of 2022 have had their fair share of challenges. Despite the two years of COVID19 and the restrictions it produced, the students have continued to be driven, completing course work remotely and being supported by dedicated teachers whose sole goal was for them to achieve outstanding results. And they have!
We are very proud of our BTEC graduates and we wish them every success as they continue to ‘make a difference’.
Many of our BTEC+ students have undertaken a number of additional qualifications alongside work placement opportunities across the UAE. These include A Levels in Art History, IB certificates in Biology, a certificate in Securities and Investment from CISI and a Personal Training certificate in Sport from REP UAE.

Spread across a variety of specialist pathways (Sports, Business, Art & Design), our graduating cohort will receive a Level 3 Extended Diploma that is the highest BTEC school qualification available (equivalent to 3 A Levels).
BTECs are specialist work related qualifications, and an alternative pathway to the IBDP or A Levels. They combine both practical learning with subject and theory content.
At JESS, we offer the Extended Diploma (Level 3) for each of the BTEC courses illustrated in the image above. This is equivalent to 3 A Levels and requires the completion of approximately 18 units. The Extended BTEC+ at JESS includes additional options which are made available to our students (e.g., Guided Online courses for Business students, Personal Training qualifications for Sport students etc.)
Grades per module are generated on a combination of formal assessment and internal Thecoursework.Extended Diploma is graded using a Pass (P), Merit (M), Distinction (D), and the highest mark possible a Distinction* (D*) scale.
