Dear Friend: High school meant days of mischief, studying endlessly and figuring out whom to ask out to the banquet. Only a few actually thought ahead about their next step: college. Those days are gone. Students are applying to dozens of universities. Deadlines for applications are tougher and more expensive. The wait to get into some schools is two years! Doing it all alone is scary and stressful. I’m writing to you this morning on their behalf. We want to help our students by giving them opportunities to start acting for their future—now. Pathways to Success scholarships are for financially unstable students at Rio Lindo. This year we added a new opportunity: an all-expense two-week summer trip to the University of the District of Columbia. Students qualified for the scholarship can sign up for two college classes of their choice. What makes this opportunity possible are donors like you. I invite you to send us a gift today. Your donation will deliver immediate results that our students can see for themselves. Here’s what I mean. One of our students, Andrew Putnam, is in Pathways. He is a junior and wants to pursue a career in psychology. Someone like you donated on Andrew’s behalf to Pathways. Two days later he signed up to go to Washing D.C. He got in. This summer he is taking a psychology and a writing literature course. This will be Andrew’s first time in D.C.—because it’s going to be his first time on a plane. And he is thrilled. Andrew is just one of 35 students at our school needing help. Pathways to Success is your chance to support student scholarships. Your tax-deductible gift by April 10 will be matched by Rio Lindo and allow more talented students to pursue their dreams. Attached is a pre-paid envelope and form. Suggested amounts are on the form—all you have to do is fill it out and mail it. You can even write your email address to see how

your donation personally helped a student. If you’d like to find out more, visit www.riolindo.org/giving. Thank you for being a part of our students’ future. Sincerely,

Jessica Anzai Principle of Rio Lindo Adventist Academy
