Experimental Jetset Using the iconic Pink Floyd album cover, Experimental Jetset created a series of three images to represent the Bauhaus using the three geometric shapes related to it. Based on colour refraction we see the transition from the white light to the several colours. It works consistently as a set and is also recognisable as single pieces due to the infamous style everyone knows.

RESEARCH

Orlebar Brown Celebrating the fashion design of Emilio Pucci caused this piece to come to light, a pattern designed for a shirt but that shows a style that represents the human eye. On a patterned background it becomes very chaotic, possibly symbolising the complexity of the human eyes structure. The palette is restricted to 5 colours and the tight repetition makes it seem intricate and quite confusing.

Michael Anthony Created for a digital advent calendar for Christmas this is a design by Michael Anthony called Finding Home. The audience has to guide the moon through mountains, meteor storms and other challenges to return home. The design is so creative, the colour palette sets the scene perfectly and the use of shadow on flat design gives depth and creates an illusion of 3D objects.

JESSICA JOHNSON

Charlie Patterson ‘Through the eyes of’ campaign shows a series of images created that represent how 6 different designers and artists see things. These two particularly caught my eye, the hectic design is contrasted by the simple colour patterns, they create almost an illusion upon first glance, to look closer to discover simple shapes and gradient effects. The colours are really bright and slightly controversial in whether they work together but as a series it looks well thought about.
