Hi , I’ m Montana

...and I’m a UAH student from Pelham, Alabama

this is my story...

ecoming a student at UAH has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a “weathergirl”. There weren’t many schools that were close to home and had an Atmospheric Science program. I found out that UAH’s Atmospheric Science program was 19th in the nation, and this really impressed me, so I came to campus and took a tour. The second I was through with my tour, I knew UAH was the perfect fit for me. My first semester of college was rough, but the one thing that made it totally worth it was living in a residence hall. I had great roommates who have become some of my best friends and I had really awesome RA’s. I loved being on-campus because that is where everything happened! I love attending ACE events and events during Week of Welcome. I love knowing that class is at most 5 minutes outside my door, so I can push the snooze button if I need that extra shut eye! I am able to study more and become more involved just by living in a residence hall. Currently, I am involved in T.R.U.E. Chargers, Blue Crew, LEAP, Housing, and I’m on the Rowing Team. I also give tours of the campus to prospective students and I am able to show them all the things that I absolutely love about UAH. The one thing I make sure to brag on is our excellent residence halls and all the opportunities that are opened up to you just by living in them. I can’t imagine not living on campus, and I will continue to live on campus as long as I am a student here at UAH!

I love knowing that class is at most 5 minutes outside my door, so I can push the snooze button if I need that extra shut eye!

live the full experience

Living on campus puts you in the center of the college experience. You’ll become a part of a diverse, inclusive campus community, and gain a sense of personal independence that will stay with you throughout your life. Campus life offers a lot of incentives that include the convenience of being close to classes, the Charger Union, the fitness center, food services, campus events, tutoring, Charger athletic events, and so much more! Along with the convenience of campus resources, you’ll develop friendships that will be as lasting as you’ll ever know.

At UAH all of our residence halls are suite style and include a private bedroom and bathroom that is shared with one other suitemate, along with a kitchenette and living room in every suite! We offer several great communities for first year students including Engineering, LEAP, Honors, Health Professions, Health & Wellness, and General Interest.
