The year was 1998. The country was South Africa. Harry and Lora Gilbert were on a another mission trip, soon to be introduced to the JESUS Film work as they met newly dedicated team members. The result — a 15 year relationship with JFHP that is still bearing fruit.

Two more trips had the Gilberts carrying equipment to Peru and Brazil.

“In 2004, we were part of a Fort Myers, FL church that took JESUS Film equipment to Iquitos, Peru,

which can only be reached by boat or plane. We often rode twopassenger rickshaw taxis powered by a motorcycle to show the JESUS Film. We traveled by boat to one preaching point. One night we showed the JESUS Film in a city dump. People of all ages appeared out of the darkness. We used a string of lights, powered by our generator, so we could see a narrow path to get back out of the marshy dump. Another time we met on an athletic field, showed the JESUS Film and passed out 100 Spanish New Testaments to the youth.”

In 2008, the Gilberts were part of another team that took JESUS Film equipment to Brazil to be used to start a boat ministry on the Amazon River.

On December 6, 2012, a plane landed in Monrovia, Liberia carrying 10 members of a JESUS Film Bike and a Backpack (BaaB) Partner Trip.

Their objective? To work alongside the local JESUS Film teams as they minister to villages located deep in the African interior. They rode motorcycles and delivered backpack equipment to be used in Chocolate and Nimba, some of the hardest-toreach places. This is their story.

When we first arrived in Chocolate, there was a large party taking place across the street from where we were to set up for the JESUS Film.

This was a very loud party with a very loud sound system. After

setting up, we prayed the gospel would be heard. We walked into the dance party and invited them to come meet Jesus. Many of them came to see the JESUS Film, trickling in more and more as the movie played. Eventually, it was quiet by the time the call was made for people to make a decision for Christ!

In Chocolate, over 300 people came out of the darkness to see what the JESUS Film was about…and 138 asked Jesus to come into their hearts and be their Savior!

Much the same happened in a truly hard-to-reach place called Nimba, where the roads twisted wildly and were lit only by lantern light. The people came to see what we were doing as we set up the equipment.

We removed the gear from the pack, assembled the big screen, set up the speakers and light string, and focused the projector. The people seemed amazed that a solar-charged battery pack could supplant the need for a generator.

The crowd continued to grow as people filled the area on both

sides of the screen. When the call was made to come and pray, people streamed forward...and kept coming in waves! They were literally lining up to wait and pray with team members to ask Jesus into their hearts. I personally held hands and prayed with 45 people that night. Many of the team members did the same. AMEN! Glory to God!!!

You too can experience the JESUS Film ministry on location by participating in a Partner Trip. You will work alongside a JESUS Film team in ministry which includes showing the JESUS Film and providing other evangelistic services.

With the increase in teams comes an increased need to equip them with proper equipment which allows them to take the gospel farther and faster. How do we get equipment to teams on nearly every continent? Read on… we are very excited about what could happen.

In June 2013, we’ve been invited to present the JESUS Film Harvest Partners ministry alongside the Global Mission Office of the Church of the Nazarene at General Assembly in Indianapolis, Indiana. This gathering of people from around the world sets the stage for a golden

opportunity to deliver 71 sets of equipment to the regions. Here’s how: • We have the transporters: Twenty-five people attending General Assembly have already agreed to assist by delivering backpacks, small screen equipment, and orality tools to our JESUS Film teams in South America.

People from every region will be attending General Assembly.

This unique gathering could allow many of the regional delegates to return home with their much needed JESUS Film equipment.

• What’s missing?

All that’s needed are the funds to purchase and ship the equipment in time for the June General Assembly. God is working mightily, and you can be a part of His Kingdom building!

JESUS Film Harvest Partners seeks to move resources to needs. Often, we are putting new technology in the hands of nationals to make their work more effective. Recently, however, we sent people as resources, to stand in the gap in the Eurasia Region Office. Rusty and Diane Robbins, missionaries with JFHP, traveled to Busingen, Germany to help facilitate the ongoing work of 177 teams in that region. This is just one example of the many ways that JFHP uses the resources provided

in ways that maximize the work of JESUS Film teams around the globe.

JFHP seeks to serve the Kingdom through resourcing individual teams, engaging local churches in the Great Commission, and helping regions with logistics. These teams, churches, and regions provide the infrastructure for sharing Christ, discipling new believers, and planting churches—making your investment go farther for the Kingdom.

I thank God I can experience freedom in Jesus Christ right now. My life before knowing Christ was very poor. I lived in many locations due to a physical defect I have had since childhood. I suffered humiliation and ridicule from people all around me.

to see the JESUS Film, and realized that no matter what people think of me, I can conquer everything with God. I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be a new creation and experience the joy of His salvation.

When we prayed with her, she was released from her bondage and today she wears all colors, with nothing bad happening to her! We thank God that today Marriam is free. She joined the church, and on Sunday, she came to church with her two children.
