BIG BAND CAMP IN NAUVO, FINLAND Between 22-26 July 2013, a big band camp will be held on the island of Nauvo, located in the beautiful Turku archipelago about 50 km west of Turku, Finland. The camp is suitable for people of all ages, playing an instrument suitable for a big band ensemble. The teachers are all well-known musicians in the Finnish big band scene:

We will teach on all levels, from beginners to advanced. The course is multilingual. All teachers speak (at least) English as a common language. The camp will mainly emphasize big band playing, but there will also be smaller combos and jam sessions. It will also be possible to study basic big band conducting skills. The camp will be located at the Gammelgård hostel/hotel, conveniently close to the sea and the center of Nauvo. Course fee is 120 €, single room, 250 € per person and double room 200 € per person. The price includes food.
