Combine Search Strategies
Youcancombinesearch strategiesinadatabase'sadvancedsearch bygroupingyoursearch termstomoreeffectively locaterelevantresults.
("Gun Control" OR "Gun Rights") AND "Mental Health"AND Politic*
In addition to combining quotation marks and Boolean operators(AND, OR, NOT), you can use a wildcard to search for variations of a word.
In this example, you can use an asterisk(*) to replace one or more letters at the end of the word. For instance, politic* will return any word that begins with those letters such as:
• Politic1
• Politician
• Politicize
• Politicking
• Politicization
Search results will include either "gun control" OR "gun rights" OR both. Additionally, the results will need to include BOTH "mental health" AND a word that begins with politic.
