If you’re looking for a dinner time treat on a Monday, come on down to the Anacapa parking lot and partake of offerings that will feature street food concepts of Asian Fusion, Cajun and Creole, Korean, Mediterranean, Mexican, Southern Soul food, Thai and, of course, pizza. A community eblast on Thursday before that Monday will alert the residents to which truck will be in attendance. Many trucks will allow pre-order of menu items. Credit cards are accepted.
Corte Bella Blood Donation Drive With Vitalant Blood Services
Date: Thursday, October 7 Anacapa Parking Lot Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Free Event
Be a hero and donate blook so that others may live. All interested residents should register and make an appointment before the date of the blood collection drive. If you have any eligibility questions, call 877-258-4825 (vitalant.org). You can also learn if you have antibodies that could help patients that are battling COVID-19. Corte Bella’s Annual Fall Festival with Thaddeus Rose Trio

This is it! Make plans now for this annual event that is the “Corte Bella landmark party.” Celebrate the wonderful beginning of the great social events that are held through the end of the year. Anacapa Chef Dan Haywood and his crew will have food stations to serve delicious selections for your dining pleasure. Wine and Dine Around the World #1
Date: Monday, October 18 Santa Barbara Room Time: 6:00 PM Cost: $80 per person (inclusive)
Chef Dan will be using his creative culinary skills to present a monthly menu fit for the royalty of the featured country for this month. Anacapa’s Food and Beverage Manager, Jill Machay will gather all her wine resources to offer the best pairing for each of the dinner courses. With the new Corte Bella resident team in place, the featured county will be well researched for delicious cuisine and wines. Each attendee will take away not only fond memories of this wonderful evening but will have a copy of the menu, a map of the featured wine region, and a brief synopsis of that wine region industry (a great souvenir and useful reference guide for the future). Seating is limited. Tickets on sale in the Fitness Center on Sunday, October 3 at 2:00 PM; no refunds.
Day Trip to Algodones, Mexico
Date: Wednesday, October 20 Bus trip to the border town Time: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Depart from the Anacapa parking lot Cost: $45 per person
Travel by bus to the border with Mexico and shop for art, pottery, tequila, prescription medication, and enjoy authentic Mexican food. This trip requires a valid passport. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Tickets on sale at the Fitness

Corte Bella’s Home & Lifestyle Expo
This event will bring health professionals and their services right to our social hall. You’ll be able to talk to various health-related companies and take a look at what they offer. Plan to attend and check out what’s new in this field. There will be door prizes and free raffle tickets for anyone who attends. Refreshments and “lite bites” will be available for all to enjoy.

Anacapa’s Annual Octoberfest Buffet
Date: Wednesday, October 27 Anacapa and Santa Barbara Room Cost: $30 per person (entertainment included) Time: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Roll out the Barrel … and plan to be at the Anacapa to enjoy traditional German foods prepared just for this event. There will be live entertainment with Dale Mathis on the accordion. Corte Bella Fall Marketplace (Halloween Theme)
This will be a wonderful chance to get a head-start on your holiday shopping. You’ll be supporting local businesses too. There will be a wide variety of merchandise available for you to check out. This annual event brings lots of different vendors to our community.
Plan to attend in a costume since it will be Halloween. Join in the fun!
Corte Bella’s Annual Veterans Day Dinner & Dance with DJ Keith Fowler
Corte Bella’s annual celebration will recognize those among us who have served as members of all branches of the United States military. An inspirational program, with the posting of colors and service flags and more, will be provided by the Corte Bella Vets Club. Come honor the military contributions of many of our Corte Bella residents. Enjoy a wonderful dinner from the Anacapa. Keith Fowler, Corte Bella’s own, will provide music for your dancing pleasure. Jason Love’s Comedy Night
Comedy Night comes again to bring you summer fun. Come enjoy three of LA’s best comedians for some good, clean, laughout-loud fun. The lineup features Ron Morey, AJ Jamal and Collin Moulton– these guys are really funny! Tickets on sale at

Verde Canyon Train Ride Day Trip
Date: Saturday, November 13 Bus Trip to Verde Canyon Time: Bus departs at 10:00 AM; returns at 7:00 PM Cost: $44 per person (includes transportation and train ride, 1st class coach)
Take the historic train ride from Clarksdale to Perkinsville and back, a four-hour journey through 100 years of history. Ride the train in 1st class coach with a complimentary glass of champagne and appetizers. Cash bar on the coach. Bring your camera and a jacket (it’s cool up there!) Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree
Date: Monday, November 15 to Monday, December 13 Fitness Center Christmas Tree
The Salvation Army Christmas Angel Tree will be ready on November 15th for you to select your Angel, a disadvantaged child who is waiting for you to make their Christmas a magical one. Each Angel hanging on the tree provides a child’s name and age along with a list of their Christmas gift dreams. Bring the unwrapped gifts back to the tree with the original Angel tag attached before December 13th and the Salvation Army will take care of delivery. Here’s your chance to make a child’s Christmas a very special one. Every year, Corte Bella is amazingly generous – please help continue the trend.

The round the world tour of wine and food continues with this second of the series. You don’t have to leave the gates of Corte Bella to experience a first-class culinary experience that includes perfectly selected wines to compliment the meal, all focused on a selected country and a wine region. Thanksgiving Day Brunch Buffet

Enjoy a delicious and effortless traditional holiday feast with your favorite holiday delights. Brunch will feature fresh seafood, soup. salads, carving station with turkey and strip loin of beef, pasta and fish entrées plus all the fixings and traditional side dishes as well as an omelet station. Tubac Arts Festival and Mission San Xavier del Bac Day Trip
Date: Saturday, November 27 Bus trip to Tubac Time: depart 7:30 AM; return 6:00 PM (refreshments on the return trip) Cost: $44 per person (includes transportation and docent tour of the mission)
Travel by comfortable motor coach to enjoy the annual Tubac craft festival with more than 100 booths with vendors from around the country offering artwork, paintings and sculpture, crafted wood, leatherworks, glass and much more. Visit the Mission San Xavier del Bac, the White Dove of the Desert – a national historic landmark, founded in 1692 by Father Eusebio Kino. This is the oldest European structure in Arizona and remains an active church for the local Tohono O’odham reservation. Tickets on

CB Vets Gala Dinner & Dance
Date: Saturday, October 23 Social Hall Time: 5:00 PM (doors open at 4:30 PM) Cost: $50 (with $15 tax deductible charity donation credit)
The CB Vets invite you to attend their fundraising event that will include a three-course plated dinner (choice of chicken marsala or short ribs with salad, sides and dessert) as well as dancing, cash bar and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets will be sold at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on every Tuesday and Thursday thru October 12th in the Anacapa breezeway.
