The Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) and CAMPUS are pleased to invite you to the “Second Meeting on Collaborative Doctoral Programs and Research Incubators”, which shall be held in Costa Rica from May 28-29, 2009.
The host institutions for this event will be the Central American University Superior Council of Universities (CSUCA), and the National Council of University Rectors (CONARE). The event is due to take place at CONAREʼs Headquarters- an organization which is kindly offering its facilities for the event. The meeting also coincides with CAMPUSʼ first strategic goal: Quality, Teaching and Research. In brief, the CAMPUS program seeks to develop virtual areas for Collaborative Doctoral Programs and Research Incubators (DTCII). In addition, the meeting is linked to the 2007-2009 IOHE Development Plan, which has among its objectives the following aim: “To capitalize on the strengths of the IOHE in order to develop academic academic excellence, which, in turn, helps to increase the percentage of Type I Universities (Developed) by adopting diverse strategies that are centered on Latin American universities in a North American and European context”. We therefore invite you to be part of this very special event. Indeed, it is considered extremely significant for the development of Science and Research at universities on the continent.
