SEEK

Seek & Hide

Brought forth by your darkness, our shadows shall fall.

Seek & Hide

You

in on our closing less aware of one step closer, One step closer, if you dare

Have faith, ye who enters our realm in the darkest hour For you might lose yourself and breathe in our power ‘cause we are the trees, the winds, the leafs We are the ones that shake your beliefs For what you see Is not what is And what you hear A shadow’s kiss

Have no trust in your senses Let my chaos be your guide.

If it’s me that you seek Though I am not yours to find

If it’s me that you seek

Deep in the forest our senses grow wide society’s behind us no corners to hide but arms of tangled branches and faces of ghouls

these trees are like mirrors

reflecting our souls ‌ So tell me, what is it that YOU

See?

From the beginning of times, trees have always played an important role in human kind’s perception of the world. The woods provided shelter, herbs with healing powers and food for both us and our animals. Trees, we believed, embodied all wisdom, with their ancient roots planted strongly in the grounds and their branches reaching out for the skies. But with wisdom also came great power. Trees were therefore also believed to be magical, able to see, hear and talk. They could create illusions, delude passes-by to protect secrets, lure in souls and never let them out. They were believed to be infinite, to house creatures never once spotted by the mortal’s eye. Trees were the bringers of tales, the keepers of secrets, of stories. A feature almost lost now, almost vanished in modern times‌ But not quite yet.
