NYC (New York City) Trip of 2015 – Part 4 – Travel Guide to NYC Sept. 12, 2015 – day 10

Got up at 6:00?, worked. Ate guayaba de mexico, apple, banana. Went out after 10:30. Train A, stopped several times to 103# street. I did not know it was weekend and many stops are not allowed to go to downtown. R mentioned to me between 105# and 106# street, I could go see some show with good price. That is why I was looking for some theater. I could not find it. People I asked, they did not know about any theater in the area. They talked about theater at 96# street. I gave up. I passed by a bakery shop, went inside and chose two. They were good! $8.76 silver moon bakery, I could not tell their names though.

I decided to go to central park. On my way there, I saw some pizza shop, I stopped by and ordered one, Napoli stone in oven, at Buca, $14.52. Yummy!

I went to central park, saw the big reservoir, and met with one girl from Mexico. It was her first day in NYC. I told her about my itinerary, hope it is helpful for her. I was so tired. I fell asleep there. I saw the falling leaves and I slept on some of them. When I woke up, I called a close friend. I was hurting after that. I had no desire or energy to go forward. I was sad.

Well, let me keep walking to next place. Next stop, I was going toNew York public library. H said I should go. She was right! From 16:00 to 18:00, I was there. New York public library is so nice. I read 5 ~ 10 minutes at two reading rooms. To read there is such a lucky thing. The atmosphere, the desk, the chair‌. I cannot express how elegant when I sat there. I could just remind myself what I have. I could forget about the hurt from the friend and then grab the inner energy and keep going.

$3 carousel at Bryant park. It was the last ride of that day and I took it. Of course, some pictures were taken.

$10.88 I tried some Japanese noodle and sushi. It was disappointing. The ramon tasted like instant noodle. Well, I will not go back there again. After that, I went to Macy’s. I saw they had discount/sales day yesterday. I was going to buy myself some purse, some shoes. I did not find any, plus, the prices were not what I expected. I just did not have much desire there. I was thinking to go to Christopher street to listen to some jazz show. I did not go. It was about 20:00. I was tired. I had to get up early. I decided to go home. Home by 20:45, shower.

Sept. 13, 2015 – day 11 Got up at 7:00? Ate apple, guayaba de mexico, banana. I got up later than I wanted. Hurried to get out at 7:35, got to canal stop (train R) on time at 8:30. Met with P. She bought me a red bean bun . That is the best red bean I ever ate. Daban?(大班), a Taiwanese bakery. She said we could come back later. I trusted. But we did not go back later. This is one of the best bakery shops. I was so excited to go to China town. People and things there made me confused.

We passed by KongZi building, which is symbol of China town. Then we took a private Chinese bus toFlushing. We met with N, then we went to a Church (法拉盛第一浸信会). We met with Ms. Y, a teacher. We four went to a Chinese restaurant (东王朝).We ate dim sum there. About USD 47, excluding tips. One plate is Usd3.15 on weekend! I was so content!! After we left, Ms. Y departed to another direction. We three passed byFlushing library. N was kind to take me inside, tried to see if we could meet with Ms. W. We did. (Personal issue… so omitted this part) We left. P and I went shopping. $11.14 skyfoods ($1.99 x 2 Japanese green tea; $1.19 Japanese tofu; $1.99 x 2,sesame powder) $5.43 BJ’s (gift for P, a box of Danish) $5.45 Fayda Bakery ($1.15 cheese Danish, $1.1 sweet topping custard bun; $1.60 x 2 sweet potato bun) We passed by some nice restaurant, I saw some dishes in my memory. But I could not eat anything at that moment. I had enough from lunch. Plus my bags were heavy. I took my fruit and some water when I left home. We took train 7 to 42# street. We passed by some tennis court and saw people were walking inside, some men final was preceding there. We passed by some expo. We also saw some fast train between Manhattan and long beach. P walked me to subway train A. It was a long walk between train Q/N/R and A. She also waited till I got on train A. So nice of her!! 42# subway has many nice paintings on the wall,

the paintings were made of mosaics. P said she took picture of each one one day.

Back home by 16:15. Lori was sick, having some cold. I massaged her for a while. Then I left for central park. Train A to 59# street. I meant to visit carousel. It took me a while to get there. But it was close at 17:00. Well, I will go there next time. I spent one hour in central park. One man from Yemen, living in NYC, walking in the park with his family or friends, took a pretty picture of me with statue of Columbus.

I planned to go to Christopher Street for Japanese noodle. I ended up going to subway Q/N/R. Was this to ask me to go back to eat the wonton? Well, that was a bit crazy. I was tired and finally I decided to go home, after all, I would have to get up early tomorrow. $11 a whole chicken, El malecon. I bought it home, shared with Lori. We had the chicken, 5/8

Q is a fan of steeler. I enjoyed talking with them on my way back. I am going to share with you Life of wisdom from S : save money. Have fun. Life wisdom from Q : be a giver. To give, but take care of yourself first; Love Jesus. 1:05 – 1:40 pm, Charlotte to Columbia, US 3960. $24 parking, CAE, at about 14:20. Thank you, Mr. D and Ms. G to take care of my car! Then I went to Aldi and bought some food. Back home, did some cleaning and laundry. Shower .

//////////////// People in NYC are more slim. I guess they walk a lot. I met with so many people from all over the world. This is a melting pot, much more than Columbia. NYC is an energetic city. It keeps going and going. My apartment is a bit noisy at night. I always can hear and see cars going by, almost anytime. But I love NYC. 6/8

I saw some black squirrel, some brown squirrel with strips. The End. Jie ZHENG April 19, 2016 at Columbia March 5, 2017 (rv.1) More Blogs about NYC?
