J is sick and had some surgery last week. After I communicated with H, I talked with church. That is how I started receiving the prayer request. My church is First Church Nazarene (CFN).
In the marketing educational company SFM, we talk a lot about serving. Once that word is planted in the mind, it started looking for fields to plant. I am happy that by joining the prayer request, I can pray for more people. I do not need to wait to go to the church to receive the file and know what was/is going on.
Why do we need the prayer request? Because through doing this for each other, we build a community that we can lean on. My church is really good at building a healthy Christian community.
Prayer request is a kind of “lean in and lean on”. When you need a prayer, you lean in the situation, at the end, you could say a prayer and hand it over to a higher power. You also lean on, because you need friends, family member to help you go through the difficult moments with you. And you know, they will do that for you with unconditional love. Church family and community show this kind of unconditional love every day.
Today, I prayed for 4 families that are mentioned in the prayer request. I am also thankful that I have a nice Monday so far.

Most importantly, like my coach J said, today, do something good and positive for some one, as if there is no way they are going to repay you. Prayer request is one of them.
