parks, lakes and trails that you can experience. Fiords make up the entire length of Norway. The Geirangerfjord is the most visited and stunning fiord with 6000 ft. mountains above it. Norway is one of the best countries to drive. Some of the best roads in the world are here and not a lot of people know that. Roads like the Trollstigen and the Atlantic Higway are among those. Many of the coastal roads around the fiords are great too however many are connected by car ferries. Norwegian cuisine uses ingredients which can be found all over the country. Some of the popular cuisines of Norway are; Flatbread (made from oatmeal flour, graham flour and buttermilk then baked till
crisp), Grilled Mountain Trout with Lemon Butter, Chicken Fricassee, Hasselback (roasted potatoes) and many more. If you love winter sports then you’ll love Norway. Snowfall usually occurs during the months of November to April each year. There is plenty of skifields and resorts open here in winter to get your ski fix and all the slopes are wonderful and scenic. The 1952 Winter Olympics were held in Oslo and more recently the 1994 Winter Olympics were in Lillehammer. Many winter

sports competitions are held here each year. The newly revamped Holmenkollen Ski Jump can be seen from just about anywhere in Oslo. In the summer months Holmenkollen is open to the public as a zipline, a very steep zipline obviously. Also the north of Norway is the perfect place to see the Northern Lights in winter. Winter in Norway is a winter wonderland. Summer in Norway is mild so it is the perfect time to go and see the country’s true colours. What are you waiting for people? Go and Check it out! X

The prime reason tourists visit this country is for the winter and snow. Winter activities in Sweden in the midst of nature are liberating experiences. Riding a snow mobile is the top one among all activities. Riding a snow mobile is very easy. The suites, beds, pillars, lobby and bar, everything that a hotel should have is made of ice. The drink in the bar comes in glasses made of ice, of course. Sweden is also home to some of the worlds most famous musical acts from ABBA and Roxette to ToveLo and Alesso. This means there’s always a big concert on somewhere! ICELAND
One particular country that is certainly shrouded in much mystery is Iceland. Iceland is situated at the extremely edge on the European continent. It floats isolated inside the cold waters from the North Atlantic Ocean. The capital and the biggest town in Iceland is Reykjavik. While Iceland possesses his own record and tradition, it was founded by Scandinavian settler around 900 AD. That is evident to date as Icelandic, a Germanic language, is a whole lot much in-line with Faroese and some Norwegian dialects. Iceland is often thought to be a frontier land since it is part of the Arctic Circle. Not a lot of individuals know how a lot pure beauty can be found here. Words & Photos By Jamie Brown

celand is very rich with culture and in pure wonders. It’s got so a lot of untouched organic formations. Any nature lover will be astounded as well as the massiveness and beauty of the many land and water formations right here. Glacier and volcanoes are a specialty of Iceland. The most well-liked of these have to be Eyjafjallajökull. Eyjafjallajökull is an island-mountain glacier. It really is one of Iceland’s smallest glaciers. It is in addition happens to be an incredibly active volcano. Eyjafjallajökull gained fame in 2010 as it erupted and impeded traveling by plane in Europe for the longest time. The capital city of Iceland; Reykjavik is considered as one of the world’s trendiest city. Cafes, clubs, pubs, and colorful wood houses in the city make the old town one of the world’s most expensive cities. The Hallgrímskirkja Church is really a sight to behold. You can see it from almost anywhere in Reykjavik. It took 41 years to build, finally comleted in 1986. Iceland is home to many natural reserves and one of the most famous one is Dorsmork. Around Reykjsvik there are 300 square kilometers consisting of natural wilderness, offering a great challenge for the hiking amateurs. The West Fjords is 13 million years old and is actually a spectacular chain of mountains, mostly made of rhyolite and basalt. Gullfoss in Iceland is the most popular waterfall and has a height of 105 feet. The sprays of water above this tourist spot during sunny days produce beautiful glimmering rainbows. One can take a good hike to reach the top and enjoy the scenery. These Iceland tourist destinations attract many visitors every year. The glaciers in Iceland are known for their vivid features. Covering approximately 11260 square kilometers-4328 square miles or you can say that 10.9 percent of Iceland is covered by glaciers. Many kinds of glaciers are found in Iceland. From the months of September to April, Northern Lights are visible in the sky.

When you look at the northern skies of the country, you can enjoy the natural wonder of lights dancing in the sky. Iceland tourist destinations such as those mentioned above, provide a unique experience to tourists who visit this beautiful country. The cuisine of Iceland basically consists of lambFree Reprint Articles, fish and seafood. Lamb meat is served in many forms of frankfurters and sausages. This lamb meat along with potato flour is made into a paste and this paste is used in making fried patties. Some popular sausages are blodmor and lifrapilsa. Svid is basically a traditional dish which is a boiled lamb’s head. A glass of cold milk is served with every meal. The national drink of Iceland is Brennivin and it is very much similar to brandy. Usually any Iceland vacation begins with a cruise from one of the ports of Europe. Direct flights to Reykjavik are always an option but one I would not recommend. If you directly fly to Iceland you will miss the opportunity to sail through the amazing deep natural harbors and see all the oldfashioned farming villages situated delicately on the rocky shores. Dont fly to Iceland unless you don’t want to smell the ocean air on your Iceland vacation or you don’t want to see how the island rises in the distance.

Even though the boat trip and the picturesque scenery are magnificent, they are not the high point of your vacation in Iceland. What will really make all the difference from the many other vacations you’ve taken are the natural hot springs known all over the world. When in Iceland, make sure to enjoy the favorite national pastime. It a wide-known fact that Icelanders spend most of the winter and some of the summer months peacefully soaking in these hot springs. This is how they deal with the long months of night away; this is how they manage to stay in relative comfort. There are hot springs all over the island and if you give it a try you might actually find one which is quite private and enjoy this native treasure by yourself.

The Blue Lagoon of Iceland is a popular geothermal pool that has milky-blue water and is huge. The seawater of the spa is rich in minerals and is warmed by the geothermal plant located nearby. Spas of this country have become one of the major Iceland tourist destinations. When having an Iceland vacation don’t forget to go around the rim road. Most of the interior of Iceland is impassible as it is barren and icy. Even though there are people living in the south of IcelandPsychology Articles, the only way to go north is to follow a single road which crosses the whole edge of the island. Icelanders are known to have one or more of the longest life expectancies globally. Why wouldn’t they? Every little thing is ideal in Iceland. You’ll perpetually reside in solemnity and peace. X
