The Chic Living Type: Residential Location: South Bopal, Ahmedabad Area: 1400 Sq Ft Status: Completed, 2021 Scope: Interior Design and Execution
BRIEF The family of 5 was looking for a modern and elegant home. The idea was to provide a bespoke living that was contemporary yet timeless in style. A warm and comfortable living experience was discussed through the design.
APPROACH For this residential apartment, notable contemporary aesthetics was brought together to create a luxurious apartment that glimmers with ornamentation. All the furniture was custom made and tailored to create a strong visual language of colour and geometries. A material palette of teak wood, brass finished metals and pastel colour palette came together with attentive details to create this contemporary and chic living.
The Eclectic Abode Type: Residential Location: Nikol, Ahmedabad Area: 1300 Sq Ft Status: Completed, 2021 Scope: Interior Design
BRIEF .The client was looking for a modern home that is luxurious in aesthetics but highly functional for the family. The brief to customize and experiment with the flooring, spatial elements and furniture pieces while keeping them multifunctional and lively.
APPROACH The apartment mirrors the vibrant lifestyle of its occupants. Customizing all spatial and furniture elements was key in transforming this apartment into a lively space full of materials, colours and textures. Overall the apartment gives refuge to the occupants from the bustle of Ahmedabad, a youthful, cheerful space. The residence is a playground of materials, textures and patterns in each furniture piece and space- giving it a warm and comfortable ambience to the family.
Colour Block Office Type: CA Office-Commercial Location: Ambawadi, Ahmedabad Area: 600 Sq Ft Status: Completed, 2020 Scope: Interior Design and Execution
BRIEF The main concept was raised from the client brief to provide transparency in the office and optimise the daylighting while creating a fresh and energetic workspace for the staff.
APPROACH The concept of colour blocking is explored in this office, using the bright and cheerful colour palette of yellow and teal to keep the workspace energetic yet sophisticated to match the mood of the CA profession. The spaces are divided using glass partitions and elegant space divider in white to provide visual connectivity and allow daylight to diffuse across all spaces. The use of metal and wood create a minimalist yet sophisticated ambience to the spaces. The combination of artificial and natural light finely balance the ambience, complementing with the plants to make the space more lively.
Sectional Store Type: Retail- Commercial Location: Nizampura, Vadodara Area: 3500 Sq Ft Status: Completed, 2020 Scope: Exterior, Interior Design
BRIEF The client required a modern and clean design for a clothing shop for women and kids wear. The thought of creating an innovative experience for both the brand and the customer was discussed.
APPROACH For the women's’ ethnic section, the idea of walking through a series of arches while looking through the display was replicated and modernized with the use of metal fabrication and perforated sheet. The module was designed such that it could be modified for various displays. For the kids section, continuing the use of same material, the concept of replicating the shape of “home” was developed. Bright and attractive colours were used keeping in mind the age group.
Kismat Kathiyawadi Type: Restaurant- Hospitality Location: Sama Savli, Vadodara Area: 2000 Sq Ft Status: Completed, 2019 Scope: Interior Design
BRIEF The client expected a comfortable traditional style restaurant with lots of colour and vibrancy to shift from the typical village theme perceived by the name of the restaurant. Maximum seating and easy functioning of kitchen and service were to be prioritized.
APPROACH Being a traditional restaurant, we have followed the concept of khatla seating carried our out by the Kismat Kathiyawadi food chain. The replication of a trailer behind an actual tractor for the actual dining area added value to the village theme of the restaurant. Using locally available traditional elements like kettles, jute and bamboo, created a unique composition for visual aesthetic and to keep the traditional roots alive. The exposed brickwork and the warli art emphasis the rural ambiance. The detailed door and window at the entrance exhibit the rich and conventional welcoming customs. Inclusion of handwoven puppets build up drama and playfulness in the precinct.
