The major activity occuring in this area is walking as the pink area indicates. This coincides with the intensity map, which has the highest density on the central pathway of the lawn and the 4 roads fringing its edges. Based on these knowledge, we are able to conclude that the major function of the concrete lawn is to let people pass through. Apart from that, the strong tamperal patterns are shown in this series of maps in this section. Generally speaking, the concrete lawn is most crowded from 12pm to 3pm. And the intensity fluctuantation is strongly related to the time when classes start and end.
