YAZMIN SLEEPOVER We were so happy to add the gorgeous Yazmin Oukhellou to the Norvell family, we had to celebrate with the ultimate glam sleepover! Together with Yazmin, we were joined by her friends and reality TV stars Kady McDermott, Georgia Harrison and Leah Harrison, to name a few. Matching in silk pyjamas and fluffy slippers, the girls enjoyed hot stone massages, plenty of cocktails and a Norvell Spray tan by VIP tanner Carrie Marsh, using the new COSMO solution‌ what more could you ask for! The sleepover took place at one of the suites in the London luxury Apex Temple Court Hotel where the girls enjoyed their VIP spray tans.
Carrie, one of the Norvell VIP spray tanners, spray tanned all the girls. Throughout the night Yaz and her friends were shown into the future with a tarot card reading. The girls discovered things about their future such as marriage, kids and relationships but of course- what happens at the sleepover, stays at the sleepover. SUMMER TIPS FROM OUR NORVELL EXPERT Eloise Baskerville is our Brand Manager and one of our Norvell VIP Spray Tanners. Here she gives us some expert tips on tanning for the Summer. S u m m e r holidays are here and for most of us we do not want to be “ghost” like beings walking around the beach when we arrive whilst being surrounded by bronzed glowing sun-kissed bodies. We plan our outfits to every last detail, yet pale skin really doesn’t compliment the orange bikini you envisaged glowing in on your getaway – so thank goodness for Norvell’s “just off the beach” colour. Many people will receive a spray tan treatment before jetting off, and this is perfectly safe to have. I would advise that you receive your tanning treatment 48-24 hours prior to jetting off on your jolly as you would want to remove your first water rinse of the bronzer before sitting on a plane and entering a high humidity zone. Norvell’s venetian range is the perfect solution to choose for a real “holiday glow” as it has been made
to mimic the real Mediterranean colour you would receive from a two week vacation. The purple pigments will allow your skin to look olive and beautifully bronzed. Before your spray tan you will need to exfoliate 24-48 hours prior and arrive with no moisturiser or deodorant on. After your spray tan you will need to wait 12-24 hours until you can rinse off the bronzer and then you are BIKINI READY!! YOU WILL WEAR THAT ORANGE BIKINI!
Hydration is the key for this. A great product for hydration is Norvell’s Body Butter which is rich and hydrating. It allows your tan to last longer and fade less.
The most important factor to remember is that spray tan does not protect against UV rays, therefore you must still wear SPF on your holiday. Certain SPF’s contain oils which can strip the tan more quickly so it is so important to care for your tan whilst away. Using swimming pools, swimming in the sea and often showering more will also cause your tan to fade slightly faster than normal. You can still tan naturally after receiving your spray tan. As mentioned before, you are not protected against the sun rays therefore you will tan. Your real tan will shine through – as your sunless tan fades, your real tan will carry on shining through. Applying moisturiser daily will help maintain your colour as well as enabling your real tan to last longer too. Aloe Vera will calm your skin as well as hydrate so any products containing this will be ideal to use. When returning home from your holiday, you should maintain your tan or it will fade.
Many people have a spray tan treatment 2 weeks after their holiday to keep their colour. The Norvell Vivid Amplify spray is great to use before a spray tan or tan treatment as it provides even coverage and primes the skin. Devised to equalized pH levels, this product alienates orange and sets the tone for a brilliant bronze. I would recommend that you use Norvell Vivid Boost Colour Extender which is a great daily gradual bronzer. It contains a high level of Aloe Vera gel to care for your skin and give you a darker glow. Vivid Boost also contains Hyaluronic Acid which is amazing for boosting collagen, so your skin has a wonderful youthful glow. Enjoy your holiday this Summer.
