How involved should I be, and what can I do to help?
• Whether she’ll admit it or not, this is a big decision and one she shouldn’t make alone!
• Help her prioritize what is most important to her happiness and success.
• Reach out to the enrollment team with questions and spend time on campus. We are here for you and your daughter!
How will we know what school is the best fit for our daughter?
• Make sure she shadows! Spending the day with a current student will help her see how she fits in the community.
• Together, look at how the school fits her academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
• Ask how the school will meet her where she is and empower and inspire her to become the best version of herself.
• The HSPT helps the high school place your daughter in classes where she’ll thrive.
• At SHA, we’ll place her in class levels that challenge but don’t overwhelm her in each subject area.
• December 9, 2023, is the HSPT and a great target date for making your high school decision. Students are encouraged to take the test at the school they plan to attend, especially for consideration of merit scholarships.
An exceptional education is an investment in your daughter’s future, and SHA is committed to providing tuition assistance to as many families with demonstrated financial needs as possible. For the 2023-24 school year, SHA awarded more than $1.5 million in financial aid and scholarships.
• The Archdiocese of Louisville and SHA use the FACTS Management Company to manage tuition assistance forms.
• FACTS forms can be completed online beginning October 15, 2023 and must be completed by January 30, 2024.
• Aid is need-based and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
• An application is incomplete until both the FACTS application is submitted and all requested documentation is uploaded.
