Musical Instruments for a variety of outdoor settings

Everyone Can Play Imagine stepping up to an instrument you have never played before and being able to create rhythmic and melodic music right away. Now, imagine the same experience while playing together with others on several instruments all at the same time. Suddenly, beautiful music is being made to the delight of everyone: the players and those listening nearby.

With Freenotes you can! These unique sound sculptures deliver creative sensory play through engaging interactive art. Musical knowledge is not necessary. Tones are pure and soothing because there are no wrong notes only the highest quality sound. Built tough and built to last, these percussion instruments withstand rigorous play in high-use areas, as well as extreme elements of nature.

Over fifteen years of product research and development are behind each design. Grammy Award-winning musician, Richard Cooke, created Freenotes to ensure musical success for all players. Every sound is complementary in a manner similar to an orchestra. As a designer, Richard has taken on the challenge of permanently installing real musical instruments in outdoor settings, proving they are capable of standing up to hard use.

Musical expression is accessible to everyone. It’s been the heart of building community throughout the ages. Transcending all barriers of age, gender, ethnicity and physicality, these instruments are great for parks, schools, forests, river trails, and community projects. Freenotes instruments can be installed in any combination; however, the more Freenotes in your ensemble the greater the adventure. The proof is in your ears – listen and hear for yourself at: www.FreenotesHarmonyPark.com. ™ Outdoor Musical Instruments

The Glass Imbarimba is a unique musical design combining the elements of two classic African instruments: the marimba (a resonated xylophone) and the kalimba (a thumb piano). These notes are arranged in the layout of the kalimba. This allows both hands equal access to the upper and lower notes. Coated fiberglass bars are entirely weatherproof and withstand hard use and the elements.

Swirl

The stunning sculptural presence of this design exudes both beautiful sounds and visual art. Tones are pure, soothing and never go out of tune. The chimes are made of durable, resonated anodized aluminium, and range from soprano to alto. The Swirl’s warm vibrant tone comes from individual resonators made of impact-resistant ABS material.

The Manta Ray simply captures the imagination. This elegant, anodized aluminium metalophone has a powder-coated steel frame, making it tough and maintenance-free. The individual chime tubes are suspended by nylon-coated, stainless steel cable. Playing this instrument is a fanciful delight, making beautiful music accessible to all.

Pegasus

The Pegasus is a hefty metalophone made with resonated aluminium bars which are laced on with coated stainless steel cable. An improved low friction suspension system eliminates cable fatigue giving strength and longevity to this design. Flying Amadinda

Great for preschools

Musical bars of coated fiberglass hang between a sturdy frame made of recycled plastic posts. The Amadinda is an ancient xylophone from Uganda. Our fiberglass bars eliminate maintenance - a major design improvement. Non-resonated bars have less amplification, making them ideal for areas where sound levels are important to maintain.

Residential sound sculpture

Stunning in both their towering appearance and low resonant sound, these seven chimes are pitched one octave below middle C. The chimes range in height from seven to nine feet. They are made of four-inch diameter, heavy duty anodized aluminium tube, and can be installed in a horseshoe shape to enable the player to experience a “surround sound” effect. Contrabass chimes can be purchased individually. ™ Outdoor Musical Instruments
