As an internal optimist I want to keep doing what we have been doing for almost 24 years. I hope the next four years won’t undo all the hard work and goodwill we’ve accomplished together. We can, and will, continue to build a more inclusive, dynamic, and supportive community.

If you’ve lived in Phoenix for a long time, you’ll remember the bending stretch of 7th Avenue way before it was christened “The Melrose Curve.” Nightlife veterans will remember Al E. Gator’s, Foster’s, E-Lounge, and Sanctum.
As the neighborhood blossomed into “Melrose” bartenderpersonality Stacy Louis re-opened the shuttered drinkery in 2013 naming it, “Stacy’s @ Melrose” where it was a favorite LGBTQ party pub for ten fun-filled years.
Stacy decided to retire (but he’s still around, but now he’s on the other side of the bar), so Christopher Tong and his husband, Brandon Slayton bought the classy club, taking over the reigns in 2023. Chris’s background included staging events for MGM Resorts in Las Vegas and working as a bartender at Charlie’s Vegas. Brandon’s professional background was in marketing. He found that there was a bar for sale and that it would be a perfect opportunity for them to share their skills.
“I grew up in an Army family, we moved constantly and I never really felt at home,” Chris explained. “When I moved to Colorado Springs I discovered a welcoming club called Hide and Seek. I remember feeling, ‘Wow! I found my family!” and hoped he might be able to recreate and share that same feeling for others with his own club one day.
“It kinda fell in our laps and we embraced it,” Brandon said. “We always wanted to be entrepreneurs; we found this opportunity and embraced it. We were in the right place at the right time,” he expanded. “We brought our own experiences and passion, and Stacy’s is improving every day.” They put their shoulders to the wheel and invested in a new sound system, lighting, and freshened up the prestigious look of the place with a new coat of paint.
Brandon and Chris bought the building and put a lot of hard work into creating an exciting space for socializing, dancing, and entertaining their friends and patrons. “We’re thriving and surviving in a time when gay bars are dwindling or closing. Brandon shared, “Owning a gay bar is different, especially because in light of today’s political climate. Gay bars come with a list of expectations from people about what they want, in a space, but we’re leaning into the challenge.”
With an urbane and more worldly society that’s become more accepting, Stacy’s is proud of an open door policy, and that’s paid off. “We have gay, lesbian, bi, straight friends and guests here, and we’re one of the most welcoming trans bars in town,” Chris said. He expanded, “We have the entire community in our bar on any given night of the week.” Chris is happy to relay, “We were excited to bring back dance parties here after COVID. We move the tables out of the pit and thanks to our DJ’s, the dance floor is always packed.”
Brandon added, “We want people to always feel welcome here. What we have is special; more and more we’re becoming an event space.” That’s one of their favorite aspects about Stacy’s.
Chris outlined, “We try to have a balance; we just had a Sponge Bob party, on New Year’s Eve we decorated the club turning into the Moulin Rouge. Everyone dressed up for our Shrek party; we had around 30 blind mice! Any excuse to have fun!” he recounted. “There are times when we have a raging party and seeing everybody dancing and having a good time … it’s really a magical feeling being able to give that to people who’ve chosen to come here.”
Brandon agreed. “Collaborating with others is part of the fun. A lot of our guests feel more at home here than they do with their own families,” he said.
Home sweet home! Stacy’s lead bartender Kristi Neal has 18 years experience, with four of them spent slingin’ gin at Stacy’s, and that’s a pretty good track record in the service industry. “I like the atmosphere here,” Kristi said. “Chris and Brandon trust what we do, like creating the drink specials for theme nights. We’ll be selling Jell-O shots for the Phoenix Pride Scholarship fund. We’re like a small family here; this is the first place where I’ve felt at home.”
Fostering creativity and building something together is a big part of their success. “We gave away over $11,000 last year with our Rising Star competition. The Carnival party for RipplePHX made over $5,000 for their services. We also sponsor softball, kickball, and flag football leagues,” Chris relayed. “We also opened up Stacy’s for any of the preliminary competitions for Miss, Mister and Mx Phoenix Pride, regardless of the bar or organization they’re representing.”
Everyone gets into the act at Stacy’s. YoYo Blackfire is the hostess for Stacy’s popular viewing parties of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Trey, “The Bearded Beauty of Arizona,” offers some twisted hope for salvation (well, and maybe just a little bit of sin) for his “Sunday Service Drag Brunch” to polish off the weekend at 11 a.m. Look for Mia Inez Adams to host “Stacy’s Rising Star” competition on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. where everyone has the chance to be in the spotlight if they’ve got the chops for it. Feel like getting your freak on? Then you won’t want to miss “Milkshake,” a queer fetish ball every second Thursday at 9 p.m. Get kinky and quirky!
We all get the munchies. Look for their very own food truck, “Nibbles,” to make it’s debut soon.
Stacy’s is right smack dab in the middle of the annual Melrose Street Fair and a great place to whet your whistle and take a load off. “This year we created an experience we’re calling, ‘A Taste of Stacy’s.’ During the day we’ve got a stage for drag, a live band, a DJ, and stand-up comedy.” Chris said. “It’ll be a great way for all of guests – our regulars and new – to see what we’re all about.”
The @ is where it’s at. Stacy’s @ Melrose. You can call it “home.”

Miles Fallon’s path to adult entertainment wasn’t exactly scripted. He transitioned from theater kid to jock in middle school, excelling in wrestling and track—and sparked his love for showing off his body. After high school Fallon embraced his adventurous side, eventually exploring adult content creation through OnlyFans before moving into studio productions. Now he dives into the world of high-intensity BDSM making his KinkMen debut starring alongside Christian Wilde in Bound Gods’ “My Good Little F*ckmeat.” We spoke with Miles from his Philadelphia home.
What led to your pursuing a career in adult film?
MF: A lot of things. During my sports era, I started to enjoy showing off my body. My self-awareness and confidence built up to a point where I felt comfortable exploring a career in the adult industry.
Is there a story behind the name “Miles Fallon”?
MF: It has a two-part origin. Miles came from a childhood friend that I was attracted to from my theatre days. Fallon came from the TV show Dynasty
How would you describe your first experience on a porn set?
MF: I thought I would be nervous, but as soon as the day started, it was an adrenaline rush. Everything is so positive on set. I had only done OnlyFans for a year before getting into studio work. I really like working with a director. Getting feedback and guidance enhances the experience.
How has being an adult content creator impacted your dating life?
MF: It’s made me raise my standards quite a bit. I now know that I need someone who has a good head on their shoulders, who is confident and has their own life. My work is about creating a fantasy for viewers. My partner needs to be able to distinguish between reality and fantasy and not let jealousy get in the way. I’m very single now, by the way.
For those who haven’t experienced kink play, would you describe it as more of a physical or emotional activity?
MF: For me, it’s emotional. I love to turn off my brain, submit, obey commands, do a good job and be praised for it. If I have the emotional connection with my partner, it makes everything so much more.
Do you like being disciplined?
MF: Mostly I feel happiness from taking the pain and then being rewarded. I’ve discovered that at my core I have a desire for praise. I like to be a “good boy.” I enjoy doing things that give pure pleasure to the dom.
What has been your favorite KinkMen scene so far?
MF: My very first one with Christian Wilde is my favorite! He is so talented and so beautiful. It was my first introduction to BDSM. Christian was incredible with the flogger and crop. He was also great at giving praise.
What are some of your favorite scenes to film?
MF: The Bound God scenes. I was suspended and tied up. I’m very much into that!
What is the biggest challenge in working in the adult industry?
MF: Porn is a job like any other; it’s not always fun. The travel and the long hours on set can be exhausting. Also, you’re putting yourself online for people to like or criticize. Luckily, I don’t encounter too much hate online.
Which celebrity would you most like to slide into your DMs?
MF: The Rock.
What is the one pick-up line that always works on you?
MF: If you have the confidence to come up to me with a cheesy pick-up line, I’ll fall for it every time.

March is here, star babies, and so is the chaotic mess of Pisces season blending into Aries drama, mama. One moment, you’re deep in your feelings, the next, you’re lighting things (metaphorically – hopefully) on fire. Mercury is stirring the tea, Venus is spicing up your DMs, and honestly – it’s all a bit of a fever dream, all because of Mars turned a corner with finishing up a road rage retrograde. Whether you’re manifesting, messy, or just along for the ride, the stars have a little something extra for you this month because Venus goes rogue with her retrograde beginning March 1. Pull the trigger on stalled plans and buckle up, celestial queers!
ARIES Mar. 21 - Apr. 20
March is your runway and you’re strutting into it like Linda Evangelista. Just don’t bulldoze over your friends in the process. Is it your birthday? Your charm is your secret.
TAURUS April. 21 - May 20
Spring cleaning? More like spring clinging, because you are not ready to let go of that ex, that bad habit, or that overpriced latte obsession. Be like Elsa … Let. It. Go. Feel better?
GEMINI May 21 - June 21
March has you talking faster than a RuPaul lip sync finale, and honestly, people are struggling to keep up. Use your charm for good—like flirting or convincing your boss you need a day off.
CANCER June 22 - July 22
Your emotions this month are like a rollercoaster at Pride: thrilling, terrifying, and maybe a little nauseainducing. Lean into the feelings, but remember—texting your ex is never the answer.
LEO July 23 - Aug. 22
March is all about attention, darling, and guess what? You have plenty. Whether it’s admirers, haters, or that one barista who always spells your name wrong—you’re unforgettable.
VIRGO Aug. 23 - Sep. 22
You’ve got your life together (or at least you pretend to), but this month is about learning to let loose. Try saying “Yes” to something spontaneous—like a bad decision with good lighting.
LIBRA Sep. 23 - Oct. 22
Love is in the air, but so is indecision. Swipe left, swipe right, go on the date, stay home and binge-watch Drag Race? Don’t dither! The stars say: pick something and commit!
SCORPIO Oct. 23 - Nov.23
Your mysterious aura is serving up “Making It Happen” realness, but maybe you should let people in your world just a little this month? Vulnerability is sexy, too. Also, stop ignoring your emails. We see you.
SAGITTARIUS Nov. 23 - Dec. 23
March has you itching for adventure— or at least a spontaneous road trip even though that might turn into a disaster. Channel that energy wisely before you end up lost in the desert with no cell service. Or toilet paper.
CAPRICORN Dec. 23 - Jan. 20
Work hard, play… wait, do you ever stop working? Take a break, put on some lipstick, have a cocktail, pull yourself together or, I don’t know, let someone else organize the group chat for once.
AQUARIUS Jan. 21 - Feb. 19
Your brain is basically a Google search bar this month—so many ideas, so little follow-through. Pick one, commit, and resist the urge to join a weird new hobby cult, like crocheting pop star dolls of Harry Styles.
PISCES Feb. 20 - Mar. 20
March is your time to shine bright like a diamond. Manifest your best life, but don’t get lost in your daydreams—realworld magic requires action, too. Is it your birthday? Buy yourself something pretty, like some new throw pillows.
