purley The over fertilization to plants has spread to surrounding ponds which lead to infection of pond life cycle. Pesticides is one reoccuring chemical that has been found to invade pond habitats, reducing the life that lives in ponds.
TARGET USER purely is aiming to improve the life cycle of ponds. It would reduce the over loads of organic build up on the pond floor, therefore increasing the oxygen levels of the water.
Made for all types of ponds, ranging from residential, to forest preserves to national park ponds. purely is made simple and user friendly so that any pond owner can comfortably manage their pond.
BIOMIMICRY

Lily Pad
The shade produced by lily pads helps limit the growth of algae. An over abundance of algae can lead to decreased dissolved oxygen levels in the water and can result in die-offs in fish and other species.
Carbon
To make activated charcoal, manufacturers heat common charcoal in the presence of a gas that causes the charcoal to develop lots of internal spaces or “pores.” These pores help activated charcoal “trap” chemicals.
DESIGN FEATURES Solar Panel The solar panel in the center of the pod collects energy to send notifcations to the users smart phone. Powers the lily pads to also measure pH levels of the water.
Filtration As water flows through the filter bags, a chemical filtration takes place. Chemical filtration takes place through activated carbon. The activated carbon absorbs chemicals and dissolved minerals as water passes over them while the filter fiber housing the activated carbon picks up debris.
