EMU Wicker EMU Wicker è una fibra sintetica, ottenuta mediante estrusione di tecnopolimeri termoplastici, che coniuga le prestazione estetiche della fibra naturale e le prestazione tecniche proprie dei materiali artificiali. EMU Wicker assicura la resistenza all’esposizione esterna, è resistente ai raggi UV e non teme gli agenti atmosferici. La struttura portante intorno alla quale è intrecciata la fibra è realizzata in tubolare in lega di alluminio e accessori in acciaio inox.

EMU Wicker EMU Wicker is a synthetic fibre, obtained from the extrusion of engineering thermoplastics, which combines the aesthetic qualities of natural fibre and the technical performance of artificial materials. Teak Tradizionale legno impiegato nell’arredo da esterni dal fascino esotico intramontabile, il teak è un legno duro ad alto contenuto di olio adatto all’uso esterno senza necessità di trattamento di verniciatura. Se non riceve alcun trattamento protettivo, la superficie prenderà una patina grigio argento, naturale protezione della parte interna del legno, considerata un elemento essenziale del fascino del teak. Il teak utilizzato per i prodotti EMU è certificato FSC®.

Frassino termotrattato Il frassino termotrattato, dopo completa essicazione, subisce un trattamento termico che lo porta a una temperatura di circa 200° e un’umidità finale attorno al 5%. A seguito del trattamento il materiale assume una colorazione marrone e ottima stabilità dimensionale. Il frassino utilizzato per i prodotti EMU è certificato FSC®.

Teak Traditional wood used for outdoor furniture with an exotic and timeless appeal. Teak is a hard wood with a high oil content suitable for outdoor use, without the need for painting. If it does not receive any protective treatment, the surface will weather into a silvery-grey finish, the natural protection of the internal part of the wood, considered an essential part of teak’s charm. The teak used for EMU products is FSC® certified.

Heat-treated ash After being completely dried, the ash undergoes a heat treatment which raises its temperature to approximately 200°C with a final moisture content of approx. 5%. Following the treatment, the material turns brown and gains excellent dimensional stability. The ash used for EMU products is FSC® certified.

Gres porcellanato Il gres porcellanato, grazie alle sue eccellenti proprietà fisiche e meccaniche, è ideale per uso esterno, essendo inattaccabile dagli agenti atmosferici e inalterabile ai raggi UV. Le sue qualità gli permettono di essere idrorepellente ed oleorepellente. Il gres porcellanato è ottenuto tramite il processo di sintetizzazione di argille ceramiche, feldspati, caolini e sabbia. Queste materie prime vengono macinate ed atomizzate fino ad ottenere una granulometria omogenea adatta alla pressatura. La cottura avviene a 1150-1250 °C per circa 25-30 minuti allo scopo di determinare la ceramizzazione dell’impasto attribuendone così le tipiche caratteristiche di resistenza alle abrasioni.

Porcelain stoneware Thanks to its excellent physical and mechanical properties, porcelain stoneware is ideal for outdoor use, since it is resistant to atmospheric corrosion and unaffected by UV exposure. Its qualities allow it to be water and oil repellent. Porcelain stoneware is obtained via the synthesizing process of ceramic clay, feldspar, kaolin and sand. These raw materials undergo grinding and atomization until a homogeneous particle size, suitable for pressing, is obtained. Firing takes place at 1150-1250°C for approx. 25-30 minutes in order to determine the ceramization of the mixture, ensuring the typical resistance to abrasion.

Eco-cuoio / Eco-leather Eco-cuoio L’eco-cuoio è realizzato con microfibra di Nylon compattata in bagno di poliuretano. Successivamente viene spalmata con poliuretano in tinta.

Acrylic fabric: a fibre whose base element is a polymer chain consisting of 85% acrylonitrile. Acrylic fibre combines the aesthetic qualities of a luxurious fabric with the texture and feel of wool with the functional qualities of resistance to the elements: UV resistant, it does not stain and does not rot upon contact with water as it is fast-drying.

Così come nell’informatica l’hardware costituisce il supporto fisico alla creatività espressa dal Soft Ware, così nell’arredamento da giardino l’Hard Ware (i solidi mobili di EMU) ospitano ora la morbidezza della collezione Premium Soft Ware: tessuti personalizzati e colori, arricchiscono ulteriormente gli arredi, migliorando il comfort e consentendo combinazioni e personalizzazioni pressoché infinite. I prodotti EMU Soft Ware sono realizzati interamente in Italia, con materiali anch’essi italiani di altissima qualità: tessuti disegnati esclusivamente per EMU, realizzati in acrilico tinto in massa, con ottima resistenza al sole e alle intemperie per un uso all’aperto senza limitazioni. Just like with computers, where hardware is the physical medium for the creativity expressed by the Soft Ware, in garden furniture Hard Ware (EMU’s solid furniture) provides the support for the softness of the new Soft Ware collection: personalized fabrics and colours add a further touch to the furniture, improving comfort and allowing a nearly endless combinations and personalized styles. EMU Soft Ware products are made entirely in Italy, using the highest quality Italian materials: fabrics designed exclusively for EMU, made from mass-dyed acrylic, providing excellent resistance to sunlight and weather for unlimited outdoor use. The soft but tough cushion filling molds itself when being used but then immediately returns to its original shape. Concealed zippers with eco-leather trim that hide the slider.

Tessuti Decor / Decor fabrics I nuovi tessuti decorativi EMU, caratterizzati da una tetxure rigata e dalla vivaci e molteplici colorazioni, vestono con eleganza e carattere i diversi spazi all’aperto. Il tessuto 100% acrilico viene internamente spalmato con poliuretano; tale processo lo rende idrorepellente, altamente resistente ai raggi UV per un ottima performance nelle aree outdoor.

EMU’s new decorative fabrics feature a striped texture and a wide and lively range of colours to grace a variety of outdoor spaces with elegance and character. The 100% acrylic fabricis combined with a polyurethane internal coating. This step makes it water-repellent, highly resistant to UV rays for excellent outdoor performance.
