#1 Rhythm and Rhyme Story Lines Presenter: Focus: Audience:
Isadora Arzu, Mentor for World Languages Teachers, E.L. Connally Elementary All languages All Levels
Rhythm and Rhyme Story Lines is an innovative approach to develop reading fluency through chants, Poems, and short stories. In other words, Rhythm and Rhyme Story Lines is literacy through music, story -telling and poetry. This strategy will help your student become fluent quickly in the target language. With this method, a second language learner can learn to read and write effortlessly in a short amount of time. The activities in this workshop are a great representation of “having fun while learning”. The activities that will be presented in the workshop will stimulate students learning, and will help them become actively engaged in their own learning.
