NOTE - John Shanahan: The problem isn’t man-made global warming. The problem is manmade convenience living and prosperity that does not prepare for regular extreme weather because it would cost more. See record weather events for Texas here. One hundred and fifty years ago, there were not tens of millions of homes with indoor plumbing, central heating, and all of life’s electrified conveniences to report these crises in the newspapers. There are examples that the Texas utility authorities could have heeded to be better prepared. Nuclear power is best equipped to deal with extremes of weather, wind and solar the least. But wind and solar advocates are stubbornly in denial.
