Demystifying the Atmospheric Greenhouse Effect Video by Dr. Ned Nikolov Additional text by John A. Shanahan, Editor, allaboutenergy.net September 12, 2021, October 26, 2021 Here is a video presentation by, Dr. Ned Nikolov, Physical Scientist with a different explanation about climate change. It is focuses on thermodynamics rather than carbon dioxide. Many people who focus on carbon dioxide don’t discuss these thermodynamic considerations. Both sides conclude that carbon dioxide at any historic level will not cause catastrophic man-made global warming. VIDEO: "Demystifying the Atmospheric Greenhouse Effect" does provide an "earthshattering revelation"! Watch it to find out what it is! There is an experiment with an atmosphere of regular air and an atmosphere with mostly carbon dioxide and heat sources applied to both. The experiment points out that they are in confined spaces, not like Earth’s atmosphere which is free to expand into space. See video near the 43-minute point. “Earth’s global temperature is independent of atmospheric composition. Noncondensing trace gases do not have a measurable impact on climate. Thus, the sensitivity of the climate system to human-induced carbon emissions is essentially zero.” See 1 hour 16 minutes point in the video. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Comment added by Ned Nikolov October 25, 2021: The entire warming since 1980 and in fact over the past 150 years was due to a Sun-induced decrease of global cloud cover or albedo, which allowed the surface to absorb more solar radiation. CO2 has had ZERO contribution to the observed warming! Watch this presentation about the role of planetary albedo in climate, given at the 101st AMS Meeting last January: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv66_mpJz-c Climate models fail to reproduce the observed decrease of cloud albedo for the past 40 years. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
