A/W 2014
London‐based men’s contemporary brand Natural Selection prides itself on its unique, top-of-the-line denim. Founder and designer John Park established the brand based on his genuine fervor for fashion, specifically for denim, striving to find the best possible combination of function and craftsmanship. In July 2013, Natural Selection launched a limited edition jean concept called “No Evil.” Park had purchased 1000m of organic 14oz selvedge from White Oak plant, part of Cone Mills in North Carolina back in 2007. Shortly after his purchase, the organic cotton business in the United States collapsed, leaving Park with some of the most precious and iconic denim that had yet to be cut. John used the opportunity to create a limited run of 360 pairs of jeans, designed with the utmost attention to detail, craftsmanship and construction. Each pair was individually numbered and personally signed by the owner himself, making it a true collector’s item. The jeans will be introduced to a new store every month until August 2014, limiting the distribution to 13 carefully selected retailers. Natural Selection will launch a continuation of the No Evil collection in June 2014 titled No Evil / Live On. The line defines denim at its best and purest, inspired by simple architectural lines merged with vintage Americana style. Constructed from organic denim with nickel‐free hardware and made in Italy, No Evil / Live On is not a limited edition collection, but will be available in a limited selection of stores. Featuring denim jeans and a denim jacket, the collection will consist of some of the top quality denim available on the market.
