Farewell to a GREAT Leader!

Financial Support “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” - (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Where do our finances come from? Like other Baptist churches, this church is self-financing. We receive no grants or financial support from the Baptist Union or any other organization to pay for our ministry. All our finances come from the prayerful giving of our members and congregation. How are the Church’s finances managed? The church appoints a Church Administrator who works with a Finance Committee to oversee and manage the church’s finances. The annual budget is approved by the November Church Meeting.

What are our major commitments? Our biggest costs are the stipends and salaries of our minister,

musicians and office staff and also the running costs used to carry out the different activities of the church, and church maintenance.

How do I know what to give? This is a question each member of our church and congregation has to ask before God as a response to how He is blessing us individually in our work and life. We want to be generous people and provide the necessary resources to fund God’s work through BSBC, whether that is giving towards the running of the day to day activities of the church or in the money that we give to support other work. How do I give? If you pay income tax, then Gift Aiding your giving is a very efficient way of ensuring your offering has maximum impact. If you are able to Gift Aid, then you may give in two ways:  

By Standing Order directly into Church Accounts. By use of the weekly envelope scheme. A set of envelopes is issued each year and used for giving by placing the (filled) envelope in the offering bag each week. Other ways of giving include placing loose cash in the offering plate, though this may not be Gift Aided as it cannot be identified as coming from a particular person. By PayPal or Credit/Debit Card.

Malachi Chapter 3:8-10 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Luke Chapter 6:38 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Choosing to live the law of tithing will be a great blessing throughout your life. A tithe is one tenth of your income. In order to enter the temple, you must be a full tithe payer. Paying tithing is a sacred privilege. When you pay tithing, you show gratitude for all that God has given you and return to Him a portion of what you have received. Tithing is used to build temples and meetinghouses, translate and publish the scriptures, do missionary and family history work, and in other ways build God’s kingdom on earth. Your attitude is important in paying tithing. Pay it because you love the Lord and have faith in Him. Pay it willingly with a thankful heart. Pay it first, even when you think you do not have enough money to meet your other needs. Doing so will help you develop greater faith, overcome selfishness, and be more receptive to the Spirit.

You can make your payments by the following methods:

The Ministry Hymn LIFE IN CHRIST

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

“BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC” In Your majesty ride on victoriously for the cause of truth and to defend the right…. Psalm 45:4

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the LORD; He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on. I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camp; They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on. He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never sound retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat; O be swift, my soul, to answer Him; Be jubilant, my feet! Our GOD is marching on. In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea, With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me; As He died to make men holy, let us die that all be free! While GOD is marching on. REFRAIN Glory! Glory, hallelujah! Glory! Glory, hallelujah! Glory! Glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.
