RICK SNYDER, TERRI LYNN LAN LOOKING OUT FOR THE WEALTH Too many Michigan politicians are looking out for corporate CEOs and big corporate special interest groups. For the wealthy and wellconnected, life is good. Even as incomes skyrocketed for wealthy CEOs,1 politicians like Rick Snyder and Kenneth Horn gave their well-connected friends a massive $1.8 billion tax handout, with no accountability for creating jobs.2

Corporate Income Tax
To pay for their big corporate tax giveaway, Rick Snyder and Kenneth Horn raised taxes on seniors, middleclass families, and low-income workers.3 Today, 2/3s of corporations are paying no Michigan income taxes even as families pay more.4 Many of us are paying too much while a privileged few pay too little.
While Snyder and Horn raised our taxes, wages have stayed flat for middle-class workers like homecare workers, teachers, engineers, autoworkers, and nurses.5 For over a decade, Michigan families have been working harder and harder for less and less. ND, AND KENNETH HORN ARE HY AND THE WELL-CONNECTED
Governor Snyder and Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, whose company received $25 billion in taxpayer bailout money.
Rick Snyder protects the wealthy and the well-connected because that’s who he is. As a corporate CEO, Snyder amassed a fortune of $200,000,000 while outsourcing jobs to China.1
As governor, Rick Snyder has: • RAISED TAXES on families and seniors to help fund a $1.8 billion tax giveaway to corporate special interests. • FAILED to make sure women earn equal pay for equal work. • REFUSED to give Michigan companies the first crack at state contracts and outsourced the Pure Michigan ad campaign to an Iowa corporation.4 Terri Lynn Land protects the wealthy because that is who she knows and trusts. It’s unclear where her own wealth comes from, but she has given $2,900,000 to her own campaign.5 She said corporations buying elections is the “American Way.”6 Terri Lynn Land also opposes equal pay for equal work, and when referring to the Paycheck Fairness Act said, “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”7 Ken Horn is an out-of-touch politician who does not share our values. Horn opposed a bill to make basic cervical and breast cancer screenings available to women.8 Horn also raised taxes on seniors and cut nearly $1 billion from public education to pay for a $1.8 billion dollar giveaway to corporate special interests.9 Ken Horn looks out for CEOs, not Michigan families.
