My project is an investigation into the effect that type, layout and tone of voice can have on information. Whilst this may not be a thought process we have every time we create, as designers these are all tools we use to emphasise certain sections of a whole; whether its simply through a hierarchy, or a more complex system of emphasis. Our job is to observe, edit and recreate. This project would most likely take the form of a series of publications / posters containing the same information, edited in order to reflect a certain viewpoint. That viewpoint may, for example, be sensationalist, thought provoking, concise or abstract. An understanding of this idea, looking at it from a different angle, would be of great benefit to my future design and writing work.
