Russell St. Bernard is the director for ministry operations at Kingdom Fellowship AME Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, and the founder of After the Music Stops, a full-service youth ministry company as well as founder of Ministry Pivot, a company dedicated to assisting leaders and churches seize opportunities for growth.

Do you know what you believe? Do you know why you believe them? This session will teach you the foundation of our Christian faith by breaking down the Apostles’ Creed.

Presenter: Rev. Milwina Locklear, Reid Temple A.M.E.

Rev. Milwina Locklear (a.k.a. Rev. Mel) currently serves on the ministerial staff as an itinerate elder at Reid Temple AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Mark E. Whitlock, Jr. She serves as the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Reid Temple Bible College. Her passion is in teaching and equipping disciples for Christ. Rev. Mel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Nyack College School of Business & Leadership, A Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Nyack College School of Business & Leadership, and in May 2018 received the Master of Divinity Degree from the Samuel DeWitt School of Theology.

You’ll hear Christians say we are “living under grace,” however, does that mean the 10 Commandments are irrelevant? This session will dive into the 10 Commandments and why Jesus hasn’t completely done away with the Law.

Rev. Latisha Thomas Cokely is the pastor of Payne Memorial AME Church in Jessup, Maryland. Prior to this, she served as pastor of Adams Inspirational AME Church in Fort Washington, Maryland. Pastor Tish served at Reid Temple AME in Glenn Dale, Maryland, under Rev. Dr. Lee P. Washington. An accomplished and creative writer, she began an inspirational blog 2017, authors children’s books (Aleko Wanted a Mohawk and Vic Takes on Billy the Bully). She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she feels a mandate on her life to encourage and uplift others with the promises of God’s Word. She has B.A. from Savannah State University, a M.S. from American University, and a M.Div. from Howard University. Pastor Tish and her husband, Rev. Dwight Cokely are the parents of three amazing and inspirational children: Dominic, Truth and Vic’Tor.
