For marketers, story telling is one of the greatest asset to have. When you can story tell, it keeps your audience engaged. They should also be able to hear you too – Audio is key! Lastly, your lighting. Make sure people can see you well enough and they don’t have to squint their eyes. Do as many videos as you can. You want to make sure that you taste a bit of every type of video i.e. Vlogs, Documentaries, Music Videos, Advert Videos, ect… You want to get a feel for what really works for you. Always play to your strengths! Don’t worry about equipment. It’s your high value content you want to focus on. Equipment is just a way to be more professional or fancy. Please don’t waste your time on trying to look a certain way. People want raw authenticity. Give them 100% of you, no matter what camera or tripod you’re currently using. Keep your videos short. You don’t have to make super long videos. Keep them short in the beginning. Use this time to weed out all your mistakes and find your voice. Be yourself, keep showing up everyday and everything will work itself out. Of the 9 tips, I have here I believe this one speaks to me the most… You must employ Patience! Success doesn’t happen overnight. It will not happen in 3 months or 3 years… Success happens over a lifetime of staying committed to the process of showing up every day and having the humility to continue learning as if it’s still week 1. Lastly, learn your software. You basically need to know your editing software good enough to understand what you can pull off when editing your videos.
