Burton’s Quaife ATB Differential

As major Quaife dealers, Burton Power can now offer the Quaife ATB Differential for the Ford English 22 spline axle (also known as the Timken or Banjo axle). The Quaife ATB Differential is suitable for earlier English Fords including the: Anglia 105E/123E, Consul Classic and Consul Capri, Corsair, Cortina Mk1/2, Lotus Cortina, Escort Mk1/2 (inc RS & Mexico), Prefect 107E and the Lotus Elan.
The Quaife ATB is a direct replacement for the standard ‘open’ differential.
Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip unit, these units employ gears, rather than clutch plates, for a much smoother operation. The Quaife ATB automatically biases the torque, to a constantly varying degree, away from the spinning wheel across the axle to the wheel that still has traction. It never locks up. Thus, controlled power is delivered to all the driven wheels, maximising traction and minimising wheelspin, particularly in slippery conditions.
It is safe, progressive and seamless in action. It will also improve braking performance and reduce tyre wear.

Mini Spares Crank Damper/Harmonic Balancer for BMC/British Leyland A Plus Engines
It might surprise you to know that the A-Series engine has a vibration problem! However, the factory knew about it years ago and designed a ‘dampener’ to help absorb or counter balance this problem.
The most common damper was a one-piece affair which is actually a pulley with an outer metal ring connected to it by a special vulcanized rubber.
This was a great, simple design, but it has an inherent problem that comes to light with age. If the rubber dries-up and/or is exposed to oil, dirt, etc. it cracks and stops ‘dampening’. At best this will result in noticable vibration which will quickly lead to damaging wear on the crank bearings. In severe cases the rubber can totally separate resulting in all kinds of destruction. Check the back side of your dampener the next time you are in the engine bay - it could scare you!
Thankfully, Mini Spares has the solution. Part number AHU1878 is Mini Spares’ own Crank Damper/Harmonic Balancer which is made in the UK and is suitable for A Plus equiped Minis up to the MPI in 1996. It is also suitable for many other A series cars including the Austin /Morris 1100/1300 range, the Midget and the Austin Healey Sprite.

Webcon MGB Manifold for Weber DCOE
Webcon is pleased to announce the introduction of an intake manifold to allow fitment of a Weber DCOE carburettor to the BL “B” Series engine as fitted to MGBs and other BMC/BL vehicles.
Made by Webcon in the UK, the new manifold features the Webcon branding to distinguish it from poor quality imported copies. It is 125mm long and offers superb performance whilst still being compact enough to allow the use of stock Weber DCOE air horns.
Complete with a ¼ NPT servo tapping, MW0033 is also supplied with captive 5/16 UNF threads to allow fitment of LP5200 rod linkage, as well as the popular LP1000 cable linkage system.
MW0033 is priced at £206.66 plus VAT
The MGB manifold is also available as a complete kit with a Genuine Spanish Weber 45DCOE carburettor, soft mounts and linkage system as part number PMG102 priced at £789 plus VAT.
