MS in Applied Economics Courses » » » » » ABOUT THE PROGRAM Whether you are working in government or private business, you can enhance the skills required in your field by exploiting the strong complementary nature between business and economics with a new, innovative dual degree at Johns Hopkins University. The Applied Economics Program of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences and the Carey Business School have eliminated the overlap between the MS in Applied Economics and the MBA, thus allowing students to earn both the MS degree and the MBA in fewer courses than if pursued separately. The part-time MS in Applied Economics/MBA dual-degree program is designed for busy, working adults. MS courses are held in the evenings and on weekends at the Washington, DC campus and are offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. MBA courses are offered in Washington,DC; and in Columbia, Baltimore, and Rockville, MD. Students studying part time typically complete the dual degree in three years; students may also complete the program at a full-time pace. The resources offered by this program are invaluable to getting ahead in your career. You will be taught by Johns Hopkins’ talented and dedicated instructors—experienced professionals and full-time faculty, many of whom have worked or are working at the federal level for various US government agencies, financial institutions, and private consulting firms. Additionally, Johns Hopkins’ DC campus offers you access to a large community of economists and business professionals.
